Abstract We report here two different simple, one‐pot, and low cost chemical synthetic routes for the preparation of Cu 2 O nanocrystals: (a) thermal decomposition copper–organic precursors copper(II) acetate or acetylacetonate in long chain organic solvents oleyl alcohol trioctylamine, respectively, at 170 °C (b) a surfactant‐free solvothermal approach involving reaction acetone 140 °C. The structure morphology nanocrystals have been characterized detail by XRD, FTIR spectroscopy, Raman...
Flexible inorganic-organic magneto-electric (ME) nanocomposite films (PVDF, PVDF-GO, PVDF-Fe3O4 and PVDF-GO-Fe3O4), composed of well-dispersed graphene oxide (GO 5 wt%) magnetic Fe3O4 nanoparticles (5 embedded into a poly(vinylidene-fluoride) (PVDF) matrix, have been prepared by solvent casting route. The magnetic, ferroelectric, dielectric, magneto-dielectric (MD) coupling structural properties these systematically investigated. Magnetic (Ms = 2.21 emu g(-1)) ferroelectric (P 0.065 μC...
Transition‐metal dichalcogenides have been investigated using Raman spectroscopy both being off‐resonance and in resonance. The first‐order spectra of MoS 2 , MoSe WS WSe single crystal synthesized by vapor transport technique studied as a function hydrostatic pressure (0–20 GPa) temperature (80–300 K). Isobaric isothermal mode‐Grüneisen parameters determined from the pressure‐dependent spectra. dependence chalcogen–chalcogen metal–chalcogen force constant has obtained central model....
Flexible and self-standing polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) films loaded with nanofillers, reduced graphene oxide (RGO), zinc (ZnO) magnetic iron (Fe3O4) nanoparticles, were prepared by a solvent casting method.
In this communication we report the details of structural and thermal properties monoclinic layered perovskite type Pr2Ti2O7 (PTO) using ambient to higher temperature XRD Raman spectroscopic studies.
Objectives Sunscreen cosmeceuticals play a crucial role in protecting the skin from dangerous ultraviolet radiation, which is linked to various dermatological diseases and cancers. Avobenzone extensively used organic ray gauze; however, due its inherent instability limited penetration, it has led research into developing novel delivery systems. This study introduces pioneering sunscreen formulation employing avobenzone incorporated solid lipid nanoparticles enhance sun protection efficacy....
Most reported negative linear compressibility (NLC) materials exhibit either a small NLC over large pressure range or high very range. Here, we report the remarkable discovery of giant in low-temperature form CuCN (LT-CuCN) an unusually High-pressure XRD studies on LT-CuCN observed $\ensuremath{-}20.5\text{ }\text{ }{\mathrm{TPa}}^{\ensuremath{-}1}$ along $a$ axis at zero pressure, and ambient orthorhombic phase remained stable up to 9.8 GPa. Pressure- temperature-dependent Raman identified...
A novel composite photocatalyst of indium doped cadmium sulfide dispersed on zirconium oxide has been synthesized, which shows enhanced photocatalytic activity for hydrogen generation from water. In this system, exists as a separate phase the zirconia support. Optical absorption spectra indicate blue shift edge CdS and ZrO2 compared to pure CdS. Among supported CdS, exhibits better optical property. Photocatalytic studies water show an doping in enhances further. Fluorescence lifetime that,...
In this work, we used Raman spectroscopic and optical absorption measurements first-principles calculations to unravel the properties of wolframite-type ScNbO4 at ambient pressure under high pressure. We found that monoclinic is less compressible than most wolframites it undergoes two phase transitions ∼5 ∼11 GPa, respectively. The first transition induces a 9% collapse volume 1.5 eV decrease band gap energy, changing direct an indirect one. According calculations, symmetry changes...
The electronic-structure calculations of the perovskite oxides ${\mathrm{SrFeO}}_{3}$ and ${\mathrm{SrCoO}}_{3}$ in nonmagnetic magnetic phases are reported here. were performed with use self-consistent linear muffin-tin-orbital method within atomic-sphere approximation. show strong hybridization between Fe Co 3d O 2p orbitals conduction bands found to arise from these hybridized as was predicted by Goodenough through his chemical approach. 2s lie deep below oxygen extends up Fermi level....
Raman spectroscopic investigations were carried out on proposed nuclear fuel thorium dioxide–uranium dioxide (ThO 2 –UO ) solid solutions and simulated fuels based ThO . spectra of exhibited two-mode behavior in the entire composition range. Variations mode frequencies relative intensities modes enabled estimation composition, defects, oxygen stoichiometry these compounds that are essential for their application. The present study shows spectroscopy is a simple, promising analytical tool...
Delafossites, with a unique combination of electrical conductivity and optical transparency constitute an important class materials their wide range applications in different fields. In this article, we review the high pressure studies on copper based semiconducting delafossites special emphasis structural vibrational properties by synchrotron powder X-ray diffraction Raman spectroscopic measurements. Though all investigated compounds undergo induced phase transition, structure has been...
Abstract High level radioactive actinides are produced as a side product in reprocessing spent nuclear fuel, for which safe long-term-inert immobilizer matrices needed. Borosilicate glasses of great potential amongst the candidates suitable inert materials waste immobilization. Understanding effects actinide addition to borosilicate glass matrix is importance view Here we present structural studies simplified glass-matrix, − 55SiO 2 ·10B O 3 ·25Na O·5BaO·5ZrO - upon adding lanthanide...
