Abstract Background Salinity is one of the most widespread agricultural problems in arid and semi-arid regions that makes fields unproductive, soil salinization a serious problem entire world. To determine effects salt stress on soybean seedlings, proteomic technique was used. Results Soybean plants were exposed to 0, 20, 40, or 80 mM NaCl for week. The effect treatment at 20 plant growth not severe, lethal, 40 significant but lethal. Based these results, proteins extracted from leaves,...

Because salt stress is a major abiotic source of on potato crops, the molecular mechanism response plants to was examined. On exposure salt, salt-sensitive cultivar Concord showed greater reduction in shoot and root length than did salt-tolerant Kennebec. For both cultivars, shoots more severe that roots. Salt increased content free proline total soluble sugars Kennebec; these remained unchanged Concord. Proteins extracted from cultivars exposed 90 mM NaCl were separated by two-dimensional...

This investigation was carried on to find out the changes occurred in Stevia rebaudiana response paclobutrazol (PBZ; 0–4 mg L−1) treatment and drought stress. Polyethylene glycol (PEG; 0–6 % w/v) used stimulate Drought stress reduced fresh dry weight, water content, chlorophylls, carotenoids, anthocyanins, soluble carbohydrates, reducing sugar proline amounts. Electrolyte leakage, MDA, α-tocopherol glycine betaine contents increased drought-stressed plants. The activity of P5CS PDH enzymes...

Alfalfa (Medicago sativa L.) is the most cultivated forage plant as a model in legumes. Salinity stress due to Na+ toxicity causes severe, oxidative main reason for program cell death (PCD) plants. Melatonin application can increase productivity response diverse stressors via modulating antioxidant mechanisms and PCD inhibition plants.Alfalfa roots were subjected different concentrations of vitro salinity supplemented with melatonin (0.1, 10 15 µM) ten days. Application under reduced ROS,...

The optimal vascular access for chronic maintenance hemodialysis is the arteriovenous fistula (AVF). Several studies suggest a role antiplatelet agents in prevention of primary AVF failure. A double-blind, randomized trial was conducted to assess efficacy and safety clopidogrel patients. Ninety three patients were receive 75 mg/daily or placebo. treatment initiated 7-10 days prior scheduled surgery continued up six weeks postoperatively, then monitored months. outcome failure eight...

In this study proline content and activity of catalase (CAT), ascorbate peroxidase (APX) level lipid peroxidation in terms malondialdehyde (MDA) were measured transgenic tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum cv. Wisconsin), over expressing a Δ-1-pyrroline-5-carboxylate synthase (P5CS) gene, non plants as control. Drought stress was applied using polyethylene glycol (PEG) 6000 at concentrations 217, 264, 320, 637, 1292 mmol/kg equal to (0, 5, 10, 20, 30% respectively). Proline content, especially...

Effects of salt stress on proline content, expression delta-1-pyrroline-5-carboxylate synthetase, and activities catalase ascorbate peroxidase in transgenic tobacco plants In arid semiarid regions, soil salinity limits crop production. Proline accumulation results increased tolerance, but the underlying mechanism was unclear. To elucidate it, effects pattern Δ 1 -pyrroline-5-carboxylate synthetase (P5CS), (CAT), (APX) were analyzed ( Nicotiana tabacum cv. Wisconsin). Transgenic containing...

We used SDSPAGE to evaluate and characterize the protein patterns of seed storage proteins in four pistachios cultivars (Akbari, Ahmad Aghaei, Fandoghi, Kaleghouchi). Total content pistachio seeds all did not show any significant difference. Results SDS PAGE pattern a few bands were up regulated whereas some other showed down regulation. The identified may be marker for cultivars.
