In this study, the performance and emission characteristics of a single cylinder four stroke diesel engine have been studied by using Euglena Sanguinea algal biodiesel its various blends (ES10, ES20, ES30, ES40, ES50, ES100). BSFC EGT increase with in concentration diesel. The average BTE dropped 1.4%, 1.97%, 4.3% for ES40 respectively compared to For parameters, reduction CO, HC, smoke was 21.25%, 29.32%, 7.5% 16.9%, 23.69%, 10.11% Slight rise NOX observed which were 7.3%, 10.1%, 14.41%...

Abstract This paper presents the features of a non-edible feedstock Nahar oil derived B15 blend biodiesel powered single cylinder DI diesel engine. Various output parameters such as thermal efficiency engine, specific fuel consumption and temperature exhaust gas; different emission CO, HC, NOx, smoke opacity combustion ignition delay have been studied. The experimental investigation reveals that slightly reduced. At highest load, BTE for is 31.56% it 32.49%. All pollutant emissions...

Navicula Sphaerophora was isolated from a fresh water reservoir in Arunachal Pradesh, India. N. grown on two different culture media, chu13 medium and Miracle Gro-medium. The maximum yield obtained by using chu13(5.08 g/100ml of media). Microalgae crude oil extracted soxhlation method with three solvents n-hexane, iso-propanol hexane/ mixture. n-hexane as solvent (13.8% dry weight biomass). converted into biodiesel single stage transesterification process sodium hydroxide (NaOH) base...

Choosing a suitable solvent for oil extraction from feedstock is an important aspect. Indigenous algae strain Euglena sanguinea was explored biofuel production. The microalgae isolated, cultivated and harvested on pilot scale. Six different types of solvents; methanol, hexane: methanol (1:1), ethanol(1:1), isopropanol ethyl acetate were used the biomass. impact wide range ratio solvent/solvent mixture to dry weight biomass (v/w) 5:1 15:1 observed finally optimum analyzed interaction between...

This study reveals the physicochemical characterization and catalytic behaviour of sodium bentonite clay. 4M hydrochloric acid-activated solid catalyst is prepared by modifying local at room temperature. FT-IR, XRD, SEM/EDAX, techniques are studied before after acid activation. The influence treatment in detail to understand structural changes objective this paper explore similar utilization montmorillonite group clay as a useful engineering aspects for recycling plastic wastes.

The requirement for fossil fuel surpasses its available supply resulting in inadequacy. Rapidly depleting stocks of fuels, greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions control and environmental problems are main issues which drive a country to search cost-effective renewable alternative energy source from solar, wind, hydro bio-energy. Recently, many countries considering biofuels as sustainable environmentally friendly magnifies the security reduces reliance on foreign fuels. This study examined FFA...
