The present study aims to address the effect of gradual change in temperature (15–4 °C) followed by freeze–thaw on pigmented bacterial strains – Leeuwenhoekiella aequorea , Pseudomonas pelagia Halomonas boliviensis Rhodococcus yunnanensis and Algoriphagus ratkwoskyi isolated from Kongsfjorden (an Arctic fjord) understand their survival climate scenario. total cell count retrievability isolates were not affected despite variation temperature. In all isolates, saturated fatty acids,...

The diversity and abundance of retrievable pelagic heterotrophic bacteria in Kongsfjorden, an Arctic fjord, was studied during the summer 2011 (June, August, September). Retrievable bacterial load ranged from 103 to 107CFUL-1 June, while it 104-106CFUL-1 August September. Based on 16S rRNA gene sequence similarities, a higher number phylotypes observed (22 phylotypes) compared that June (6 September (12 phylotypes). groups were classified into four phyla: Firmicutes, Actinobacteria,...

A novel exopolysaccharide-producing strain, designated as 5.12T, was isolated from a sediment sample the Southwest Indian Ridge, Ocean. The strain Gram-stain-negative, motile, strictly aerobic, and oxidase- catalase-positive. It grew optimally at 35 °C, pH 6.0 in presence of 3.5 % (w/v) NaCl. Its major isoprenoid quinone ubiquinone-8 (Q-8) summed feature 3 (comprising C16 : 1ω6c and/or 1ω7c), 0 C18 1ω7c were cellular fatty acids. DNA G+C content 46.1 mol%. 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis...

The emergence of influencer marketing in developing countries has been facilitated by Generation Z's use social media. This study's goal is to discover how will affect Gen Z consumers' purchasing intentions Indonesia, Malaysia, India, and Nigeria. In this study, the data were examined utilizing descriptive, reliability, correlation, regression analysis employing quantitative research IBM SPSS Statistics 26. collection method was carried out online with a group 150 individuals from...

After screening marine actinomycetes isolated from sediment samples collected the Arctic fjord Kongsfjorden for potential anticancer activity, an isolate identified as Streptomyces artemisiae MCCB 248 exhibited promising results against NCI-H460 human lung cancer cell line. H460 cells treated with ethyl acetate extract of strain and stained Hoechst 33342 showed clear signs apoptosis, including shrinkage nucleus, DNA fragmentation chromatin condensation. Further to this indications early...

In the present study, we investigated microbial community composition and their associated metabolic potentials using 16S rRNA gene (V3-V4) ITS (ITS1) amplicon sequencing approach in Patsio glacier. The bacterial was mainly dominated by Bacteroidota (18%-38% of total reads) Cyanobacteria (9%-30%), along with a rare Candidate phylum Patescibacteria. Ferruginibacter (13%) Polaromonas (8%) were most dominant genera identified across samples known to have potential ecological roles colonization,...

A Gram-stain-negative, rod-shaped bacterial strain designated as 20VBR1T was isolated from a valley glacier (Vestrebroggerbreen) snout ice sample Ny-Ålesund, Svalbard, Arctic. The colonies were smooth, circular and light creamish on half-strength R2A agar grew at 10-35 °C (optimum, 20 °C), pH 6.5-8.0 7.0) with 0-2.5 % (w/v) NaCl 0.5 %). 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis revealed that belonged to the genus Phenylobacterium most closely affiliated aquaticum W2-3-4T (97.65 similarity),...

The phytoplankton pigment indices were used to characterize the spatial succession of community composition in frontal regions subtropical front (STF), sub-Antarctic (SAF), and polar (PF) Indian Ocean sector Southern during austral summer 2013. Diagnostic revealed that flagellates dominant STF (51%) progressively declined toward SAF (39%) PF (11%). Similarly, prokaryotes highest (43%) decreased (32%) (28%). In contrast, diatoms gradually increased from (6%) (29%) (61%). variability is...
