The Río Negro-Juruena Province (RNJP) occupies a large portion of the western part Amazonian Craton and is zone complex granitization migmatization. Regional metamorphism, in general, occurred upper amphibolite facies. granites gneisses RNJP yield Rb-Sr Pb-Pb whole-rock isochron dates ranging from 1.8 Ga to 1.55 Ga, with initial 87Sr/86Sr ratios ∼ 0.703 single-stage model μ1 value 8.1. In order improve geochronological control, SHRIMP U-Pb zircon ages, conventional additional ages were...

Abstract A symposium on Mineralization Associated with Granitic Magmatism was held within the framework of 33rd IGC in Oslo, Norway, August 2008. While our initial idea to bring together field, experimental, and theoretical studies order review summarize current ideas recent progress granite-related mineralization systems, we were caught by surprise realizing that participants inclined focus more ore deposits related granitic magmatism. This spontaneous shift from granites, major intended...

Abstract This paper overviews the Proterozoic large igneous provinces (LIPs) of Amazonian Craton, characterized by volumes extrusive and intrusive magmatic rocks. We reassess geologic, geochronological geochemical information to stablish three intracontinental felsic volcanic–plutonic belts (i.e. SLIPs), namely: Orocaima (1.98–1.96 Ga), Uatumã (1.88–1.87 Ga) Alta Floresta (1.80–1.79 Ga). The Avanavero LIP (1.79–1.78 as well Rincón del Tigre-Huanchaca (1.11 are also revisited. relationships...
