ABSTRACT Carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) is a cellulose derivative obtained by the carboxymethylation of some hydroxyl groups in macromolecules. In this article, we use CMC as model compound fibers to study polyamineamide epichlorohydrin (PAE)–fibers interactions during preparation PAE‐based wet strength papers. The main advantages replace are its water‐soluble character and homogeneous reaction medium mixing with PAE resin. Based on 13 C cross‐polarization/magic angle spinning nuclear magnetic...
The current study investigates the amount of charged groups induced by sulfuric acid hydrolysis on surface starch nanocrystals. Conductometric titration revealed existence both weak and strong acidic groups. Strong (sulfate ester groups) were present at low amounts (13.2 mmol kg −1 ) their concentration increased with increasing duration hydrolysis. (carboxylic acid) greater (32–38 appeared to have no effect. Negative zeta potential values measured in studied pH ranges (2.3 10). Zeta...
Every year, significant amounts of date palm rachises are accumulated in Tunisia. The rational valorisation this renewable resource is therefore imperative, order to fulfil the sustainability approach. In context, work aims study potential use as a raw material for papermaking and compare it with other sources lignocellulosic fibres, such wood, non-wood species, agricultural wastes. For purpose, soda-anthraquinone pulping rachis was performed giving rise yield 45% (w/w). This value similar...
Abstract Based on the consideration of rate mechanical energy dissipation, an expression for average shear a sphere falling in power‐law fluid creeping flow regime has been deduced. The ( n <1) appears to be higher than that equivalent Newtonian fluid. This turn combined with numerical predictions drag coefficient (up Reynolds number 100) develop generalized correlation liquids encompassing both > 1 and < which apply up much values number. available experimental data have used...
