A cascaded asymmetric photonic crystal Mach–Zehnder filter structure is proposed to improve the quality factor (Q value) and sensitivity of tunable optical filter. The mathematical relationship between output wavelength M–Z voltage applied on multilayer PZT established. simulation results show that full width at half maximum can be decreased from 17 nm 9 nm, in addition, transmission peak varies by adjusting attain 0.7 nm/V using PZT, which achieve filtering effectively.
