In the present study, we tested a theoretically and empirically derived partially indirect effects acculturation enculturation model of Asian American college students' mental health attitudes toward seeking professional psychological help. Latent variable path analysis with 296 self-identified students supported demonstrated ways in which behavioral acculturation, enculturation, values gap family conflict related to help directly indirectly through acculturative stress. We also generational...
In this study, we employed structural equation modeling to test the degree which racism-related stress, acculturative and bicultural self-efficacy were predictive of mental health in a predominantly community-based sample 367 Asian American adults. We also tested whether moderated relationship between stress health. Finally, examined generational status impact racial cultural predictors by testing our model across immigrant U.S.-born samples. Results indicated that hypothesized represented...
Acculturation literature has evolved over the past several decades and highlighted dynamic ways in which individuals negotiate experiences multiple cultural contexts. The present study extends this by testing M. J. Miller R. H. Lim's (2010) domain-specific acculturation strategy hypothesis-that might use different strategies (i.e., assimilated, bicultural, separated, marginalized strategies; W. Berry, 2003) across behavioral values domains-in 3 independent cluster analyses with Asian...
Using the tripartite model of perfectionism that accounts for combined characteristics Perfectionistic Strivings and Concerns dimensions, this study explored mediating role self-compassion to explain differences between adaptive maladaptive perfectionists in four psychological distress domains: depression, generalized anxiety, social academic distress. A sample 3,112 university students were classified into adaptive, maladaptive, nonperfectionists. Results mediation analyses comparing...
We examined two structural equation models of international students’ suicidal ideation using data from 595 students in public universities the United States. The represented competing hypotheses about relationships among discrimination, cross-cultural loss, academic distress, thwarted belongingness, perceived burdensomeness, and ideation. findings indicated there were direct, positive links between distress to burdensomeness; a link burdensomeness ideation; indirect, via burdensomeness....

The natural language processing capabilities of Large Language Models (LLMs) can significantly enhance designers' ability to quantify unstructured information and improve communication with users, which is particularly important in rapidly aging societies. As elderly individuals engage community renewal projects, they often face comprehension expression barriers due differences cultural backgrounds cognitive abilities, complicates the acquisition tacit knowledge for designers. To address...
Abstract The increase in human activities and natural degradation often leads to tilting, collapsing, other forms of deterioration architectural heritage, posing significant threats its safety. Therefore, timely detection abnormal deformation signals buildings is essential for the protection heritage. Spaceborne synthetic aperture radar interferometry (InSAR) can detect slight displacements over large areas. However, relying solely on annual mean velocity maps derived from InSAR may not...
