Hydatid disease is endemic in many parts of the world. It may develop almost any part body. The location mostly hepatic (75%) and pulmonary (15%), only 10% occur rest In this article, various imaging findings hydatid cysts unusual localizations are reviewed, based on our experience. Findings brain, cavernous sinus, submandibular gland, thyroid heart, pleura, chest wall, retrocrural tissue, kidney, spleen, pancreas, peritoneal cavity inguinal canal, breast, bone soft tissue discussed.
To assist in planning before the rhinoplasty approach, authors aimed to investigate changes nasal morphometry that occur with age over a period of at least 10 years same individual. Fifty adult patients from Turkish population, 2 head and neck 3D reconstructive computed tomography scans taken apart, were retrospectively reviewed. Various angular linear measurements region performed on initial final images, data compared based sex groups. In study, it was found all measured parameters showed...
Objective. One of the most important issues to be considered in surgical approaches is protect healthy structures and not damage them. The anterior transpetrosal approach a method frequently preferred by surgeons when necessary. In this approach, mastering details anatomical will prevent possible surrounding neurovascular structures. Material methods. This study retrospective file scanning study. performed using temporal CT images 100 patients (50 female 50 male, age range 20—65). our study,...
Our goal was to prospectively study the therapeutic efficacy of CT-marking and fluoroscopy-guided intraarticular corticosteroid instillation inflamed sacroiliac joints in patients with ankylosing spondylitis.A total 22 injections were performed 17 spondylitis severe low back pain. Needle puncture point, angle intervention distance joint from skin determined by axial CT examination prone position. 14 mg betamethasone instilled each under fluoroscopy.Twenty (90.9%) reported good improvement...
Summary Introduction: We aimed to show the diagnostic performance of magnetic resonance imaging by comparing T2‐weighted images and dynamic 3D MR in assessment myometrial cervical invasion endometrial carcinoma. Methods: This prospective study included 53 women consecutively diagnosed with The subjects were evaluated TSE FLASH‐VIBE two radiologists a special training gynecology. Sensitivity, specificity, negative positive predictive values calculated for each modality regard invasion....
Purpose: To determine the usefulness of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in detecting tendinous connection Linburg-Comstock anomaly. Material and Methods: The study comprised 52 patients attending orthopedic clinic for different hand problems. They were also examined presence anomaly, which was present nine, these by MRI. Results: between flexor pollicis longus digitorum all shown connections wrist, just proximal to radiocarpal joint or distal forearm. Conclusion: MRI can show localization...
SUMMARY Elastofibroma dorsi is a rare benign and slow‐growing fibro‐proliferative lesion. It has characteristic location (periscapular region) specific imaging appearance (sonography, CT, MRI) allowing accurate prospective diagnosis. The recognition of this lesion avoids unnecessary biopsy and/or surgery. We report two cases bilateral elastofibroma illustrating features on ultrasound, CT MRI.
The role of lactate composition cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) with vasospasm severity and rabbit neurologic status in subarachnoid hemorrhage was determined. 20 New Zealand rabbits were graded initially then, anesthetized basal angiograms performed. Then 1.0 mL CSF withdrawn through cisterna magna then 1 autologous arterial blood injected all over minute. After 5 days, score (NSS) vertebrobasilar repeated. Rabbits without radiologic or spasm under 50% (n=7) termed as group 1. whose cerebral NSS...
To evaluate the characterization of liver hemangiomas and malignant tumors using power Doppler sonography before after intravenous injection a sonocontrast agent.Forty-five patients with 57 (22 hemangiomas, 24 metastases, 10 hepatocellular carcinomas (HCC) one cholangiocellular carcinoma) were examined prospectively. The distribution (peripheral, central, mosaic) extent (none, minimal, moderate strong) intratumoral flow pattern in each sonographic examination was subjectively classified.The...
As the life expectancy prolongs, malignancy has become an important issue in renal transplant recipients (RTRs). Thyroid cancer is most common endocrine with ongoing increase incidence all over world. This a cross-sectional study that investigates thyroid disorders and prevalence of nodule RTRs.204 RTRs were evaluated for diseases ultrasonography, serum stimulating hormone, free T4, T3 levels, anti-thyroglobulin antibody anti-thyroid peroxidase levels; FNAB was carried if required.191...
