Abstract Nanocrystalline hydroxyapatite (HAp) prepared by a precipitation route was investigated. The X‐ray diffraction (XRD) powder patterns of the elongated nanocrystals with typical diameter about 10 nm and length 30–50 (by transmission electron microscopy (TEM)) revealed presence HAp significantly broadened XRD reflections. However, Ca deficiency found, as Ca/P ratio 1.5 only (so‐called calcium‐deficient (CDHA)), not 1.67. This nanocrystalline is explained using NMR. It shown...
We reveal that the aragonite CaCO3 platelets in nacre of Haliotis laevigata are covered with a continuous layer disordered amorphous and there is no protein interaction this layer. This finding contradicts classical paradigms biomineralization, e.g., an epitaxial match between structural organic matrix formed mineral. also highlights role physicochemical effects morphogenesis, complementing previously assumed total control by biomolecules bioprocesses, many implications nanotechnology...
Narrow channels with polar walls are the structural and functional features responsible for high capacity of a zinc–organic framework based on an imidazolate–amide–imidate ligand uptake H2 CO2 (see structure: orange Zn, blue N, red O, dark gray C, light H). The rigid stable chelating was synthesized in situ by partial hydrolysis dicyanoimidazole compound.
GOLPH2 is coding the 73-kDa type II Golgi membrane antigen GOLPH2/GP73. Upregulation of mRNA has been recently reported in expression array analyses prostate cancer. As protein tissues currently unknown, this study aimed at a comprehensive analysis benign and malignant lesions. Immunohistochemically detected was compared with basal cell marker p63 cancer α-methylacyl-CoA racemase (AMACR) 614 radical prostatectomy specimens. exhibited perinuclear Golgi-type staining pattern preferentially...
Ethanolamine (EA), a key component of phospholipids, has recently been detected in the interstellar medium within molecular clouds. To understand this observation, laboratory studies its formation and destruction are essential should be complemented by astrochemical models. This study investigates photostability EA ice under Lyman (Ly)-$\alpha$ (10.2 eV) irradiation at 10 K, explores potential role simple complex organic molecules The UV cross section was estimated to...
Abstract Metathesis of propene to ethene and 2‐butenes was studied over a series MoO x /SBA‐15 catalysts (molybdenum oxide supported on mesoporous silica SBA‐15; Mo loading 2.1–13.3 wt %, apparent surface density 0.2–2.5 nm −2 ). The have been prepared by an ion exchange technique. Nitrogen adsorption, 1 H MAS‐NMR, Raman, FTIR spectroscopies were applied characterize the catalysts. Adsorption reactant probe molecule NH 3 in situ spectrometry microcalorimetry temperature‐programmed...
The influence of starting materials and synthesis route on the properties structure cementitious sodium aluminosilicate gels is not fully understood, partly due their amorphous nature fact that they often contain residual reactants, which can make results single-pulse NMR spectroscopy applied to these difficult interpret or ambiguous. To overcome some limitations, 29Si{27Al} TRAPDOR as well 27Al{29Si} 27Al{1H} REDOR were synthesized by one-part alkali-activation from three different silica...
Abstract Benzamide has been known for its polymorphism almost 200 years. Three polymorphic forms are described. To date, it was only possible to crystallize a metastable form in mixture together with the thermodynamically most stable I. A complete transformation of I into III by mechanochemical treatment achieved. Catalytic amounts nicotinamide seeds were used activate conversion seeding. NMR experiments indicated that molecules incorporated statistically crystal lattice benzamide during...
A new imidazolate-4-amide-5-imidate based MOF, IFP-7, is generated, having flexible methoxy groups, which act as molecular gates for guest molecules. This allows highly selective CO2 sorption over N2 and CH4 gases.
This study proposes a new guideline for designing biodegradable apatite ceramics. Boron-containing hydroxyapatite (BHAp) particles were prepared by high-temperature solid-state reaction processing method and characterized in terms of their chemical composition, lattice defects vitro biodegradability. Solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance analysis showed that boron-incorporation into (HAp) derived thermo-chemical reactions between borate calcium phosphate phases led to disordered (BCaP)...
Abstract We report on a new series of isoreticular frameworks based zinc and 2‐substituted imidazolate‐4‐amide‐5‐imidate (IFP‐1–4, IFP=imidazolate framework Potsdam) that form one‐dimensional, microporous hexagonal channels. Varying R in the 2‐substitued linker (R=Me (IFP‐1), Cl (IFP‐2), Br (IFP‐3), Et (IFP‐4)) allowed channel diameter (4.0–1.7 Å), polarisability functionality walls to be tuned. Frameworks IFP‐2, IFP‐3 IFP‐4 are isostructural previously reported IFP‐1. The structures IFP‐2...
Catalytic C–F activations at Lewis-acidic amorphous aluminum chlorofluoride (ACF) with Et3GeH and Et3SiH for reaction pathway control are presented.
A series of crystalline aluminum hydroxy fluorides in cubic pyrochlore structure AlFx(OH)3−x·H2O with variable F-content x were investigated by solid-state NMR applying different magnetic fields up to 21.1 T. Distinguishable octahedral species AlFx(OH)6−x (x = 1−6) identified the fluorides. The subsequent analysis highfield 27Al MAS data allows derivation trend graphs giving correlations between chemical shifts and quadrupolar frequencies AlFx(OH)6−x. Clear trends obtained for both, which...
