The Cluster HEritage project with XMM-Newton - Mass Assembly and Thermodynamics at the Endpoint of structure formation (CHEX-MATE) is a three mega-second Multi-Year Heritage Programme to obtain X-ray observations minimally-biased, signal-to-noise limited sample 118 galaxy clusters detected by Planck through Sunyaev-Zeldovich effect. programme, described in detail this paper, aims study ultimate products time mass. It composed census most recent objects have formed (Tier-1: 0.05 < z 0.2; 2 x...
We present a catalogue of ALMA flux density measurements 754 calibrators observed between August 2012 and September 2017, for total 16,263 observations in different bands epochs. The densities were measured reprocessing the images generated framework ALMACAL project, with new code developed by Italian node European Regional Centre. A search online databases yielded redshift 589 sources ($\sim$78 per cent total). Almost all are flat-spectrum, based on their low-frequency spectral index, have...
We present the first [CII] 158 $μ$m luminosity function (LF) at $z\sim 5$ from a sample of serendipitous lines detected in ALMA Large Program to INvestigate Early times (ALPINE). A search performed over 118 ALPINE pointings revealed several lines. Based on their fidelity, we selected 14 for final catalog. According redshift counterparts, identified 8 out detections as 5$, and two CO transitions lower redshifts. The remaining 4 have an elusive identification available catalogs considered them...
As the largest radio telescope in world, Square Kilometre Array (SKA) will lead next generation of astronomy. The feats engineering required to construct array be matched only by techniques developed exploit rich scientific value data. To drive forward development efficient and accurate analysis methods, we are designing a series data challenges that provide community with high-quality datasets for testing evaluating new techniques. In this paper present description results from first such...
We present thermal Sunyaev–Zel'dovich effect (SZE) measurements for 42 galaxy clusters observed at 150 GHz with the APEX-SZ experiment. For each cluster, we model pressure profile and calculate integrated Comptonization Y to estimate total energy of intracluster medium (ICM). compare measured values X-ray observables ICM from literature (cluster gas mass Mgas, temperature TX, YX = MgasTX) that relate cluster mass. measure power-law scaling relations, including an intrinsic scatter, between...
Aim. According to coevolutionary scenarios, nuclear activity and star formation play relevant roles in the early stages of galaxy formation. We aim at identifying them high-redshift galaxies by exploiting high-resolution high-sensitivity X-ray millimeter-wavelength data confirm presence or absence describe their relative shaping spectral energy distributions contributing budgets galaxies. Methods. present data, model, analysis millimeter (mm) bands for two strongly lensed galaxies, SDP.9...
The local Seyfert 2 galaxy NGC5135, thanks to its almost face-on appearance, a bulge overdensity of stars, the presence large-scale bar, an AGN and Supernova Remnant, is excellent target investigate dynamics inflows, outflows, star formation feedback. Here we present reconstruction gas morphology kinematics in inner regions this galaxy, based on analysis Atacama Large Millimeter Array (ALMA) archival data. To our purpose, combine available $\sim$100 pc resolution ALMA 1.3 0.45 mm...
We present Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimiter Array (ALMA) high sensitivity ($\sigma_P \simeq 0.4\,$mJy) polarimetric observations at $97.5\,$GHz (Band 3) of a complete sample $32$ extragalactic radio sources drawn from the faint Planck-ATCA Co-eval Observations (PACO) ($b<-75^\circ$, compact brighter than $200\,$mJy $20\,$GHz). achieved detection rate $~97\%$ $3\,\sigma$ (only $1$ non-detection). complement these with new Australia Telescope Compact (ATCA) data between $2.1$ and...
We present KAFE—the Key-analysis Automated FITS-images Explorer. KAFE is a web-based FITS image postprocessing analysis tool designed to be applicable in the radio sub-mm wavelength domain. was developed complement selected files with metadata based on uniform approach as well provide advanced diagnostic plots. It ideally suited for data mining purposes and multiwavelength/multi-instrument samples that require criteria. code structure interface, keyword definitions, products generated users’...
ALMA products are stored in the Science Archive form of FITS images. It is a common idea that image headers should collect their keywords all information an archive User might want to search for order quickly select, compare, or discard datasets. With this perspective mind, we first present short description current status and We realized at moment most parameters could be useful general still missing archived data. then provide CASA task generating header suggest relevant scientific...
We present the on-going activity to characterize geometrical properties of gas and dark matter haloes using multi-wavelength observations galaxy clusters. The role SZ signal in describing distribution is discussed for pilot case CLASH object MACS J1206.2-0847. Preliminary images NIKA2 ALMA exposures are presented.
