The proton and deuteron analyzing powers ten of the possible 12 spin correlation coefficients have been measured for $p+d$ elastic scattering at bombarding energies 135 200 MeV. results are compared with Faddeev calculations using two different $\mathit{NN}$ potentials. qualitative features extensive data set on dependence in over a wide range angles presented here remarkably well explained by two-nucleon force predictions without inclusion three-nucleon force. remaining discrepancies are,...
In a kinematically complete experiment we have measured the two analyzing powers and five spin correlation coefficients of reaction $\stackrel{\ensuremath{\rightarrow}}{p}\stackrel{\ensuremath{\rightarrow}}{p}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\mathrm{pp}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0}$ as function all parameters three-body final state for bombarding energies between 325 400 MeV. The data are in disagreement with theoretical predictions available at this time. Below MeV, fewer than dozen complex partial-wave...
A polarized internal atomic hydrogen target and a stored, beam are used to measure the spin-dependent total cross section Delta_sigma_T/sigma_tot, as well polar integrals of spin correlation coefficient combination A_xx-A_yy, analyzing power A_y for pp-> pp pi0 at four bombarding energies between 325 400 MeV. This experiment is made possible by use cooled in storage ring. The polarization observables study contribution from individual partial waves.
The elastic and inelastic scattering of $^7$Be from $^{12}$C have been measured at an incident energy 35 MeV. leading to the 4.439 MeV excited state has for first time. experimental data cover angular range $\theta_{cm}$ = 15$^{\circ}$-120$^{\circ}$. Optical model analyses were carried out with Woods-Saxon double-folding potential using density dependent M3Y (DDM3Y) effective interaction. microscopic analysis indicates breakup channel coupling effect. A coupled-channel scattering, based on...
The measurement of the 7 Be(d, 3 He) 6 Li* transfer cross section at 5 MeV/u is carried out.The population 2.186 MeV excited state Li in this reaction channel observed for first time. The experimental angular distributions have been analyzed finite range DWBA and coupledchannel frameworks. The effect on both abundances are investigated relevant big-bang nucleosynthesis energies. The excitation function calculated by TALYS normalized to data. The S factor (d, from present work about 50% lower...
We report a measurement of the spin-dependent total cross section ratios $\ensuremath{\Delta}{\ensuremath{\sigma}}_{\mathrm{T}}/{\ensuremath{\sigma}}_{\mathrm{tot}}$ and $\ensuremath{\Delta}{\ensuremath{\sigma}}_{\mathrm{L}}/{\ensuremath{\sigma}}_{\mathrm{tot}}$ $\mathrm{pp}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\mathrm{pp}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0}$ reaction between 325 400 MeV. The experiment was carried out with polarized internal target in storage ring. Nonvertical beam polarization obtained by use...
The nuclear polarization of H(2) molecules formed by recombination polarized H atoms on a Cu surface was measured as function external magnetic field and temperature the surface. proton determined scattering longitudinally 203-MeV beam in Indiana University Cyclotron Facility storage ring. molecules, relative to before recombination, increased from near zero weak 0.42 +/- 0.02 0.66 T field. A simple model relaxation accounts quantitatively for observations.
The anomaly in lithium abundance is a well-known unresolved problem nuclear astrophysics. A recent revisit to the tried avenue of resonance enhancement account for primordial ^{7}Li standard big-bang nucleosynthesis. Prior measurements ^{7}Be(d,p)^{8}Be^{*} reaction could not individual contributions different excited states involved, particularly at higher energies close Q value reaction. We carried out an experiment HIE-ISOLDE, CERN study this E_{c.m.}=7.8 MeV, populating excitations up 22...
A first measurement of longitudinal as well transverse spin correlation coefficients for the reaction $\stackrel{\ensuremath{\rightarrow}}{p}\stackrel{\ensuremath{\rightarrow}}{p}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\mathrm{pn}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}$ is made using a polarized proton target and beam. We report kinematically complete measurements this at 325-, 350-, 375-, 400-MeV beam energies. The ${A}_{\mathrm{xx}}{+A}_{\mathrm{yy}},$ ${A}_{\mathrm{xx}}\ensuremath{-}{A}_{\mathrm{yy}},$...
The spin correlation coefficent combinations ${A}_{\mathrm{xx}}{+A}_{\mathrm{yy}}$ and ${A}_{\mathrm{xx}}\ensuremath{-}{A}_{\mathrm{yy}},$ the coefficients ${A}_{\mathrm{xz}}$ ${A}_{\mathrm{zz}},$ analyzing power were measured for $\stackrel{\ensuremath{\rightarrow}}{p}\stackrel{\ensuremath{\rightarrow}}{p}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}d{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}$ between center-of-mass angles $25\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}<~\ensuremath{\theta}<~65\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}$ at beam...
The GRAPES-3 experiment consists of a densely packed array 400 plastic scintillator detectors and large area (560 $m^{2}$) muon telescope. It measures cosmic rays in an energy range several TeV to over 10 PeV with trigger efficiency more than 90$\%$ for proton primaries above 40 TeV, providing substantial overlap space based direct experiments. records the particle density arrival time shower secondaries, which were used estimate parameters. telescope is dedicated recording component shower....
The theoretical procedure of supersymmetric quantum mechanics is adopted to generate the resonance state wave functions unbound nucleus $^{15}$Be. In this framework, we used a density dependent M3Y microscopic potential and arrived at energy width 1.8 MeV (5/2$^+$) state. We did not find any other nearby resonances for It becomes apparent that present framework powerful tool theoretically complement increasingly important accelerator based experiments with nuclei.
Differential cross sections and analyzing powers for $^{15}\mathrm{N}$(d\ensuremath{\rightarrow},t${)}^{14}$N were measured up to 25 MeV excitation energy with 88 89 polarized deuteron beams magnetic spectrographs. States of $^{14}\mathrm{N}$ 18.53 have been studied in two experiments overall resolutions 25--70 keV, j transfers determined from their characteristic powers. Mixtures different could be those ${1}^{+}$ states where mixing was significant. Exact finite-range distorted-wave Born...
The theoretical procedure of supersymmetric quantum mechanics (SQM) is adopted for the first time to study quasi-bound states a weakly bound nuclear system using microscopic potential. density dependent M3Y (DDM3Y) effective interaction was found earlier give satisfactory description radioactivity, matter and scattering. In present work, we have generated two-body potential microscopically in single folding model DDM3Y interaction. From this potential, SQM family isospectral potentials...
