We report the effects of various substrates and substrate thicknesses on electrospun poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF)-nanofiber-based energy harvesters. The PVDF nanofibers showed an average diameter 84.6 ± 23.5 nm. A high relative β-phase fraction (85.2%) was achieved by applying voltage during electrospinning. prepared thus generated considerable piezoelectric potential in accordance with sound-driven mechanical vibrations substrates. Slide glass, poly(ethylene terephthalate),...

Triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs) hold great application prospects and research values in the field of energy harvest. The friction layer TENGs plays an important impact role their output performance. Therefore, composition modulation is significance. In this paper, xMWCNT/CS composite films with multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) as a filler chitosan (CS) matrix were prepared TENG based on (xMWCNT/CS-TENG) was constructed. introduction conductive MWCNT significantly improves...

HfO2/SiO2 dichroic mirrors, having high reflectance at 1064 nm and transmittance 532 nm, play an important role in high-power laser systems. However, the half-wave hole effect, caused mainly by refractive index inhomogeneity of hafnia, affects spectra application these mirrors. Two approaches to eliminate effect have been proposed. Both attempt shift location comparison with original wavelength. One approach broadens band first harmonic wavelength simultaneously adjusts central a longer...

Biodegradable plastics based on biomass are currently the subject of active research. However, they have shortcomings that include weak mechanical properties and high prices. Therefore we added wood powder rice bran, which generated as by-products from natural raw materials. In addition, a microcellular foaming process was applied to form pores inside plastics. Various coupling agents were assessed compared, appropriate selected for each polymer. studied effect porosity by-product content...

We present a description of multiple excitation localized surface plasmons (LSPs) from an Au nanoparticle (NP) array-based ridge waveguide to create small optical spot size with extremely strong intensity. Using numerical finite-difference time-domain method, we find that the intensity NP array is about 700% higher than simple waveguide. Moreover, spacing between NPs plays important role in LSPs. The size, calculated at FWHM, 10 nm x distance 5 exit plane.

Over the past 10 years, lightning disaster has caused a large number of casualties and considerable economic loss worldwide. Lightning poses huge threat to various industries. In an attempt reduce risk lightning-caused disaster, many scholars have carried out in-depth research on lightning. However, these studies focus primarily itself other meteorological elements are ignored. addition, methods for assessing fail give detailed attention regional features (lightning risk). We propose a process for fabricating nanodot arrays with pitch size of less than 25 nm. The consists localized ion implantation in metal thin film on Si wafer using focused beam (FIB), followed by chemical etching. This utilizes the etching resistivity changes irradiated region that result from silicide formation implantation. To control diameter, threshold dose model is proposed Gaussian distribution intensities. verified nanodots various diameters. mechanism investigated via x-ray...

Automatic itinerary planning that provides an epic journey for each traveler is a fundamental yet inefficient task. Most existing methods apply heuristic guidelines certain objective, and thereby favor popular preferred point of interests (POIs) with high probability, which ignore the intrinsic correlation between POIs exploration, traveler’s preferences, distinctive attractions. To tackle problem, this paper explores connections these three objectives in probabilistic manner based on...
