A highly enantio- and stereoselective synthetic strategy for both syn- anti-1,3-polyols has been developed. The sequence involves iterative Jacobsen's hydrolytic kinetic resolution (HKR), diastereoselective iodine-induced electrophilic cyclization, ring-closing metathesis (RCM). This protocol subsequently utilized the synthesis of cryptocarya diacetate, a natural product with broad range biological activity.

Abstract An efficient total synthesis of decarestrictine D has been achieved using cross‐metathesis or ring‐closing metathesis and Yamaguchi macrolactonization as key steps. The stereogenic centres were generated by means hydrolytic kinetic resolution (HKR) Sharpless asymmetric dihydroxylation (AD). (© Wiley‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, 69451 Weinheim, Germany, 2008)

A variety of racemic epoxides mainly derived from terminal olefins, such as aliphatic epoxides, multifunctionalized and amine-substituted have been successfully resolved into the enantiomerically pure diols using Jacobsen's hydrolytic kinetic resolution (HKR) method. The chiral thus prepared were further elaborated by synthetic manipulation to provide a compounds biological interest. general strategy for construction syn/anti-1,3-polyol systems iterative HKR has developed, which was...

The enantioselective synthesis of passifloricin A has been achieved in high diastereomeric excess. 1,3-polyol moiety was constructed by iterative proline-catalyzed sequential α-aminoxylation and Horner-Wadsworth-Emmons (HWE) olefination aldehydes while the lactone ring-closing metathesis (RCM).

The electroluminescence of UVB light-emitting diodes emitting at 310 nm before and after 1000 h operation is studied in the temperature range from 20 to 340 K. Before operation, external quantum efficiency (EQE) 10 mA gradually increases with decreasing 0.8% K 1.8% 150 then levels off. This trend attributed a reduction non-radiative recombination finally domination radiative low temperatures. After EQE has dropped 0.45% maximum 1.4% 80 K, followed by drop for temperatures below These...

World is facing lot of health issues due to industrial wastewater pollution. Increasing population and industrialization are one the main causes water In general, contains suspended, colloidal dissolved impurities. Industrial effluent may be either excessively acidic or alkaline contain high concentration coloured matter. this study, coagulation-flocculation method has been used for minimization contaminants from sugar industry effluent. The present article presents the load forecasting for a power system (substation) demands using techniques based on fuzzy time series (FTS), artificial neural network (ANN), and wavelet transform (WT). mean absolute percentage error (MAPE), integral (IAE), of multiplied (ITAE), square (ISE) along with (ITSE) criteria are used determining performance indices minimizing error. From investigations results obtained in study, it is inferred that electric WT ANN offers less as compared to FTS....
