Electrochemical tests and surface analysis measurements were performed to study the corrosion behavior in a 0.9 wt.% NaCl solution at 37 °C of three NiTi shape memory alloys fabricated by laser-powder bed fusion (L-PBF). The passive film characteristics resistance L-PBF showed different features as function their preparation process settings. passivation rate for surfaces including defects, such keyhole pores cracks which high electrochemical activity accelerating reaction process, was...
We report the direct electrical measurement of multiple resistance steps in ZrO2-based solid electrolyte nonvolatile memory device using refined dc I-V method with a very small voltage increasing rate. The results demonstrate that conductive filaments are formed successively between bottom and top metal electrodes through insulating layer while bias voltage, which consistent field simulation based on theory. inverse relationship filament formation sequence obtained, helps understand...
Abstract The quasi-static compression, three-point bending and low-speed impact behavior of E690 high-strength steel lattice corrugated sandwich panels after corrosion in a marine environment were simulated by non-linear finite element method. uniform model was used to calculate the effects different levels duration on bearing capacity energy absorption an panel. results show that outer panel has least influence decrease mechanical properties; structure’s properties are greatly reduced inner...
Abstract Electrochemical tests and surface analysis were applied to study the corrosion behavior passive film characteristics of three-dimensional-printed NiTi shape memory alloys fabricated by laser-powder bed fusion (L-PBF) in artificial saliva at 37 °C. The passivity L-PBF shows be influenced process parameters resulting morphological physicochemical properties. results show that defects can promote passivation rate early stages exposure but a slowly formed best protection. thickness is...
Abstract Carbon fiber reinforced polymers (CFRP) T700 have got increasing demand in the aerospace industry due to their high specific strength, stiffness, and other unique properties. Due inhomogeneous, anisotropic, thermal properties, it is challenging achieve desired accuracy avoid from delamination, chip-off, cracking, burning especially drilling process. The cutting force critical parameter which required minimize order drill a hole with better defects. In this research, brittle fracture...
Purpose The purpose of this study is to analysis the pitting corrosion on mechanical behavior E690 high-strength steel sandwich panel. depth and degree (DOP) damage were used evaluate behaviors such as peak load specific energy absorption Design/methodology/approach quasi-static compression, low-speed impact three-point bending panel after was simulated by ABAQUS nonlinear finite element method. Findings compression properties can be greatly reduced core, outer shows no obvious effect....
In this work, we demonstrate the feasibility of applying electric pulses to heal surface cracks on nickel-based alloy GH4169 under compressive load. There exists an incubation time for onset healing a crack, which is associated with local temperature at crack tip. The size decreases increasing pulsing constant rate prior complete crack. Increasing load accelerates process. leads formation influential zone surrounding finest grain sizes in healed and coarsest away from zone. indentation...
Abstract The relationship between the corrosion resistance of cast duplex stainless steel welded joints and inclusions was investigated by metallographic characterization, electrochemical tests, in-situ scanning electron microscopy (SEM) combined with energy dispersive X-ray spectrometry (EDS) other methods. results showed that were main sites for pitting initiation in 2205 joints, MnS portion composite preferentially dissolved to form micro-pits, which triggered corrosion. In addition,...
