CuOx based junctions e.g. CuOx–TiO2 have been demonstrated to be very effective in photocatalytic H2 production, but the active component at junction is less understood. We herein report that an as-prepared photocatalyst undergoes situ restructuring process during production under solar light irradiation form Cu2O–TiO2 interfacial structure on surface. These results unambiguously demonstrate Cu2O copper species photocatalysts.

The first total synthesis of the opened-type Kopsia alkaloid grandilodine B is reported. Four stereocenters this alkaloid, three them quaternary, are stereoselectively generated by a Diels-Alder reaction, diastereoselective cyanation tertiary alcohol, and facial-selective nitrone 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition.
