The aim of the current study was to report efficacy topical and systemic treatments for immune-related cutaneous adverse events (ircAEs) attributed checkpoint inhibitors in an uncontrolled cohort patients referred oncodermatology clinics.
Pembrolizumab is a humanized monoclonal antibody against programmed cell death protein-1 (PD-1) and an effective treatment for advanced non–small lung cancer1 melanoma.2 PD-1 functions as checkpoint of the effector stage immune system inactivates T cells when they reach tumors.2

Currently, there is no sensitive molecular test for identifying transformation-prone actinic keratoses (AKs) and aggressive squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) subtypes. Biomarker-based testing represents a promising tool risk stratifying these lesions. We evaluated the utility of panel ultraviolet (UV) radiation-biomarker genes in distinguishing between benign AKs SCCs. The expression UV-biomarker 31 SCC normal skin (NS) pairs 10 AK/NS was quantified using NanoString nCounter system. Biomarker...
Soft tissue calcification (calcinosis cutis) is a rare disorder with 5 different subtypes: dystrophic, metastatic, idiopathic, iatrogenic, and calciphylaxis.1 Dystrophic calcinosis refers to the deposition of calcium in areas prior injury patients normal serum phosphorus. has been associated various connective disorders including dermatomyositis, overlap syndrome, diffuse cutaneous systemic sclerosis, CREST (calcinosis, Raynaud phenomenon, esophageal dysfunction, sclerodactyly,...

Abstract. A gross and histological description of benign dermal fibromatosis a striped mullet, Mugil cephalus L., from Tunisia, is given. Four distinct tumours were found; two typical fibromas, one myxoma osteofibroma with epidermal hyperplasia.
Drug reaction with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms (DRESS) syndrome is a severe hypersensitivity that can be life threatening. Long-term treatment corticosteroids required in the management of DRESS syndrome, relapse or worsening after short course steroids initial improvement common. Oral steroid pulse therapy has been used to treat various dermatologic conditions goal reducing toxicity associated sustained use. The use oral not reported.
Response to talimogene laherparepvec (T-Vec) is difficult assess as pigmented macrophages that have ingested melanoma cells (‘melanophages’) persist after injection, mimicking melanoma. We used quantitative immunofluorescence (qIF) (1) distinguish melanophages from in biopsies two patients treated with T-Vec and (2) evaluate the tumor microenvironment pretreatment posttreatment. Tissues were stained 4’,6-diamidino-2-phenylindole, cluster of differentiation (CD) 3, CD8, CD68, human leukocyte...
Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC) is a rare neuroendocrine tumor that locally aggressive and frequently associated with metastatic disease. Our literature review found MCC may be paraneoplastic neurological syndromes (PNS) more than other skin cancers. We hypothesize the nature of predisposing factor for such an increase in PNS. Moreover, monitoring status neurologic symptoms important mechanism assessing primary disease response to treatment, as illustrated by our case 55-year-old man who had...
Nevus anemicus (NA) is an uncommon congenital finding characterized by a discrete area of hypopigmentation that remains stable in size throughout life. To our knowledge, generalized cutaneous eruption sparing NA mosaic fashion has never been reported the literature. We report case erythrodermic drug-induced hypersensitivity syndrome (DIHS) setting human herpes 6 virus (HHV-6) viremia, NA.
e22093 Background: Pruritus and rash are among the most early frequent immune-related adverse events (irAEs) with immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs). Although several management guidelines have been published, effect of these interventions has not reported on dermatologic irAEs (dirAEs). Methods: Medical record analysis patients treated ICIs (ipilimumab, nivolumab, pembrolizumab, atezolizumab, durvalumab, avelumab) from January 2014 to December 2017 was performed. Relevant data abstracted...
9570 Background: Uveal melanoma (UM) is a rare subset of that resistant to immune checkpoint blockade. High density macrophages (Mϕ) and TILs associated with poor prognosis in primary UM but little known about the tumor microenvironment (TME) metastatic (MUM). Here we performed quantitative spatial analysis using multiplex immunohistochemistry (mIHC) characterize TME MUM, compare MUM cutaneous (MCM), identify potential mechanisms resistance immunotherapy. Methods: We identified pts untreated...
Cutaneous T-cell lymphoma is a malignant non-Hodgkin lymphoma, with mycosis fungoides (MF) and Sézary syndrome being the most common subtypes. In patients MF, transformation to large cell histology associated worse prognosis. Paraneoplastic scleroderma has been reported arising within context of lung, breast, hematologic malignancies,1 but its association lymphomas exceedingly rare.2-5 We present case woman MF CD30+ who also had progressive sclerodermoid skin changes paraneoplastic scleroderma.
e21600 Background: Predictive biomarkers for stratification of treatment with immunotherapy are urgently needed. Quantitative multiplex immunofluorescence (qmIF) allows staining multiple markers and quantitative analysis a single formalin fixed paraffin embedded (FFPE) slide. The study aim is to identify response anti-programmed cell death-1 (anti-PD-1) using in patients metastatic cutaneous melanoma. Methods: We identified 15 stage IV melanoma treated an anti-PD-1. Pre-treatment tumor...
CD8+ lymphoid infiltrates of the skin remain a poorly understood heterogeneous group disorders with variable prognosis. There are several subgroups primary cutaneous T-cell lymphoma: (1) mycosis fungoides (MF), (2) variants CD30+ lymphoproliferative disease1; (3) aggressive epidermotropic cytotoxic lymphoma, (4) subcutaneous panniculitis-like (5) indolent proliferation (usually face), (6) γ/δ lymphoma and natural killer (7) peripheral not otherwise specified predominated by large atypical...
Non-steroid anti-inflammatory drugs are a class of medicine widely used throughout the world. This is pharmacological group in continuous growth, to which some new molecules have been added recent years. The great drawback non-steroid their adverse effects, outstanding due frequency and importance being those that occur gastrointestinal tract. By means search Medline other databases, this work reviews latest data published on incidence dyspepsia, gastroduodenal lesions, complications...
