This paper introduces a novel approach for estimating the complex permittivity of liquids using rectangular waveguide. The uses finite difference time domain (FDTD) method, enhanced by perfectly matched layer (PML) boundary conditions to minimize reflections and ensure accurate calculation S-parameters. To address challenge sealing waveguide ends, is sealed at both ends with resin sample known permittivity, incorporating small hole in liquid insertion. A Nelder–Mead optimization algorithm...
This paper presents a new iterative method for estimating the dielectric constant of distilled water using WR90 shorted rectangular waveguide in X-band with hole that facilitates insertion into waterproof waveguide. The SII parameter at reference plane as function each layer is calculated by applying two-dimensional finite-difference time-domain (2DFDTD) to wave equation. NeIder-Mead algorithm then applied estimate constant. done comparing results parameters. has been validated on two cases...
