In the present manuscript, novel effluent treatment processes for pulp and paper mill effluents are divided into two categories: a) those involving use of chemical additives b) which free such chemicals. It is especially high importance industry to adopt most efficient cost-effective methods. This critically reviews recent studies on while providing suggestions further application various physic-chemical biological methods complex containing a number recalcitrant pollutants.

For applications related to the photocatalytic degradation of environmental contaminants, engineered nanomaterials (ENMs) must demonstrate not only a high potential, but also low tendency agglomeration, along with ability be easily collected after use. In this manuscript, two-step process was implemented for synthesis ZnO, ZnO/Bentonite and magnetic ZnO/γ-Fe2O3/Bentonite nanocomposite. The synthesized materials were characterized using various techniques, their performance in pharmaceutical...

Effluents discharged from petrochemical facilities are complex and composed of various types highly toxic contaminants, which necessitates the development sustainable treatment technologies. Stability is among most important sustainability criteria wastewater processes. In present manuscript, standard-reaching rate (η) index was used to evaluate stability catalytic ozonation process for treating secondary effluent industry. A pilot-scale device designed implemented ozonation. The effluents...
