Phylogenetic relationships among the four currently recognized species in genus Erimyzon were reconstructed using sequence data obtained from mitochondrially encoded COI and nuclear-encoded IRBP2 genes. Maximum likelihood Bayesian analyses yielded five groups of Erimyzon. Three clades corresponded to E. oblongus, tenuis, claviformis.
