With solvent molecules participating in coordination systems, four new MnII polymers of the rigid ligand 2,3,5,6-tetrachloro-1,4-benzenedicarboxylic acid (H2BDC-Cl4) have been obtained from different media. Single-crystal X-ray analysis indicates that arrays 1−4 vary 1D fishbone or zigzag chain for 1 2, 2D (4,4) layer 3, to 3D SrAl2 network 4, respectively. In {[Mn(BDC-Cl4)(py)2(H2O)2](py)2}n (1) and {[Mn(BDC-Cl4)(MeOH)3](MeOH)}n (2), pyridine/water (in 1) MeOH 2) act as monodentate terminal...
Entangled nets in coordination compounds with both self-penetrating and interpenetrating structural features have been first constructed by using a flexible bis-pyridinecarboxamide isophthalate or 5-methylisophthalate. Distinct entangled systems showing 3-fold interpenetration polyrotaxane can also be obtained altering the 5-substituents of isophthalate.
A series of novel metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) have been assembled from PbII and 2,3,5,6-tetrachloro-1,4-benzenedicarboxylic acid (H2BDC-Cl4) by simply adding different alkali metal ions as templates. When only lead nitrate is used, a robust 3D open framework [Pb(BDC-Cl4)(MeOH)2]n (1) with pts topology can be obtained. Incorporating the lighter LiI or NaI into above PbII/BDC-Cl4 system results in two unique isostructural PbII–LiI PbII–NaI heterometallic frameworks,...
Abstract A palladium‐catalyzed, one‐pot synthesis of unsymmetrical aryl alkyl thioethers involving halides (aryl bromides and chlorides), thiourea has been realized under mild conditions (room temperature to 50 °C) in water with polyoxyethanyl α‐tocopheryl sebacate (PTS) as amphiphile. The PTS/water could be recycled up eight runs without an obvious change its activity.
Two chiral d10 metallosupramolecular systems based on an achiral fluorinated Schiff-base ligand have been prepared and characterized. The ZnII complex 1 reveals 21 helical coordination chains with the inclusion of rare water opposite helix in perpendicular channels, whereas CdII 2 displays homochiral 1D motifs 31 symmetry a 3D supramolecular architecture built by C–H···F interactions.
Four polymeric d10 metal terephthalate complexes incorporating bis-pyridinecarboxamide building blocks were prepared to explore the effect of central ion or fluorine substituent ligand on topology and entanglement coordination networks. The combination ZnII with a fluorinated leads noninterpenetrated layer honeycomb (hcb) for complex 1. Interestingly, other three materials display unusual entangling For 2, reaction zinc nonfluorinated affords three-dimensional diamond (dia) architecture [3 +...
Spontaneous reactions of CaII with a fluorinated carboxylate ligand afford chiral/achiral hydrophilic MOF materials.
By simply introducing different alkali metal ions as structure-directing agents, four new coordination polymers with the formulae [Cd3(BDC-F4)3(DMF)2(MeOH)6]n (1), [Cd(BDC-F4)(DMF)2(H2O)2]n (2), [Zn2Na2(BDC-Cl4)3(DMF)4(μ2-MeOH)]n (3) and [ZnK(BDC-Cl4)1.5(DMF)(Me2NH)]n (4) (BDC-F4 = 2,3,5,6-tetrafluoro-benzenedicarboxylate; BDC-Cl4 2,3,5,6-tetrachloro-benzenedicarboxylate; DMF dimethylformamide Me2NH dimethylamine) have been synthesized structurally characterized. Complex 1 presents an open...
Eight La(iii) coordination polymers were prepared from isomeric perchlorinated benzenedicarboxylate ligands, and their catalytic activities have been described.
A fluorinated bis(triazole) ligand, 1,4-bis(1,2,4-triazol-1-ylmethyl)-2,3,5,6-tetrafluorobenzene (Fbtz), was applied to coordinate with a series of Mn(II), Co(II), Fe(II), and Cu(II) ions, respectively. In comparison its nonfluorinated analogue 1,4-bis(1,2,4-triazol-1-ylmethyl)benzene (btx), Fbtz is able build six novel metal-organic frameworks by acting as versatile bridge combining the terminal chlorides (1-5) or acetates (6) ligands. The solid-state crystal structures 1-6 are studied...
A new ring-opening polymerization mechanism is unveiled based on synergistic catalysis involving Brønsted and Lewis acid centers in a coordination framework.
An unprecedented organic–inorganic hybrid material based on Wells–Dawson-type tungstovanadate building blocks and cobalt(ii)–organic framework with a bis(triazole) ligand was prepared employed to catalyze solvent-free ROP of caprolactone.
The development of efficient and stable metal–organic framework (MOF) catalysts with coordinatively unsaturated metal sites for modern organic synthesis is greatly important. Herein, a robust [Cu 4 (μ 3 ‐OH) 2 ]‐cluster‐based MOF (Cu‐MOF) mixed‐ligand system was successfully fabricated by microwave‐assisted method under mild conditions. as‐prepared Cu‐MOF catalyst possessing Cu (II) exhibited excellent catalytic activity toward the direct carboxylation 1‐ethynylbenzene CO , various propiolic...

A simple and efficient synthesis of fluorine‐containing heterocycles via S N Ar reaction tetrafluoroterephthalonitrile with various nucleophiles assisted by ultrasound has been developed. The proceeded smoothly at room temperature within 5 min to afford mono‐substituted in moderate good yields.
[Mn(tfbdc)(MeOH)4] was synthesized by reaction of tetrafluoroterephthalatic acid with manganese(II) perchlorate hexahydrate in methanol. The complex characterized elemental analysis, IR spectra, magnetism, and X-ray single crystal structure analysis. This crystallizes the monoclinic system space group C2/c. Mn(II) has a distorted octahedral geometry coordinated two oxygens from tetrafluoroterephthalate (tfbdc) four MeOH molecules. Each tfbdc ligand bridges ions end-to-end fashion, forming...
