The mutant β1,4-galactosyltransferase (β4Gal-T1), β4Gal-T1-Y289L, in contrast to wild-type β4Gal-T1, can transfer GalNAc from the sugar donor UDP-GalNAc acceptor, GlcNAc, with efficiency as good that of galactose UDP-Gal. Furthermore, also a modified sugar, C2 keto galactose, its UDP derivative O-GlcNAc modification on proteins provided functional handle for developing highly sensitive chemoenzymatic method detecting post-translational proteins. The authors investigate the properties of water drops on uniform arrays vertically aligned nanocones. A simple model predicts a variety behaviors depending nanocone aspect ratio. At low ratios, surface tension pulls into array, resulting in wetted drop with high contact angle hysteresis. effect is reversed, little liquid-solid and which easily slide off surface. Experiments show that transition occurs as gradual change angles, but an abrupt sliding angles.

Since the discovery of potentially mutagenic nitrosamine impurities in pharmaceuticals 2018, liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) methods have been widely applied for trace level quantification nitrosamines. As more nitrosamines and drug samples are analyzed, method accuracy is increasingly recognized as a major analytical challenge. Matrix effects can significant adverse impact on but not attracted much attention literature. In this study, we observed severe matrix when adapting...
