An experimental study of post-dryout heat transfer with the coolant R-134a was performed in a vertical round tube upward flow. .A lead-based reactor with employing heat pipes as passive residual removal system (PRHRS) for longterm decay was designed. Three-dimensional computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software FLUENT adopted to simulate the thermal-hydraulic characteristics of PRHRS under Station-Black-Out (SBO) accident condition. The results showed that in core could be removed smoothly by PRHRS, and temperature difference is less than 20 K.
A ceramic based power extractor operating at 21 GHz was built by DULY Research Inc. and tested CTF2, the CERN Linear Collider (CLIC) Test Facility. The structure includes a section, 2-output-port, circular-to-rectangular waveguide coupler, 3-port rectangular combiner that provides for single output waveguide. Results of cold tests full beam are presented compared with theoretical numerical models.
