By means of scanning tunnelling microscopy (STM), complementary density functional theory (DFT) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) we investigate the binding self-assembly a saturated molecular layer model N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) on Cu(111), Ag(111) Au(111) surfaces under ultra-high vacuum (UHV) conditions. XPS reveals that at room temperature, coverages up to monolayer exist, with molecules engaged in metal bonds. On all three surfaces, resolve similar arrangements, which can...
The controlled arrangement of N-heterocyclic carbenes (NHCs) on solid surfaces is a current challenge surface functionalization. We introduce strategy using Ru porphyrins in order to control both the orientation and lateral NHCs planar surface. coupling NHC porphyrin facile process which takes place interface: we apply as functional, robust pillars well-defined, preassembled monolayers silver characterize these interfaces with atomic precision via battery experimental techniques theoretical...
Ag nanoparticles of ~20 nm size and rather uniform distribution were synthesized in polyelectrolyte multilayers (PEMs) via an ion-exchange/reduction process two stages (seeding growth), which used as sacrificial templates to fabricate Ag-Au bimetallic hollow galvanic replacement reaction. The reaction was monitored by UV-vis spectroscopy. morphology structure the characterized transmission electron microscopy (TEM) energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, confirmed formation nanoparticles....
We report a switchable mesh for oil–water separation that allows handling of various mixtures in one single device. The operates oil-removing mode to permeate typical oils mixtures, and can rapidly switch water-removing water separate viscous sticky from the mixture, both with high efficiency.
Uptake of salts by insoluble polyelectrolyte complexes (PECs) leads to plasticization, and here it is shown that ionic liquids (ILs) are more effective plasticizers than simple organic such as NaCl. The PEC uptake IL cation was monitored solution (1)H NMR, the mechanical impacts plasticization were tracked dynamic analysis (DMA). PECs prepared with polystyrene sulfonate (PSS) poly(diallyldimethylammonium chloride) (PDDA) under charge stoichiometric conditions immersed in aqueous solutions...
This article introduces a novel approach of LC voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) to overcome the challenges present in Phase-locked loop (PLL) high-frequency applications and proposes 9.6 GHz VCO based on gm-boosted structure. By utilizing transformer gain variation calibration technique, proposed reduces losses caused by MOSFET's operation triode region, thereby improving phase noise. And KVCO remains relatively constant, fluctuating up down approximately 5 MHz around 100 MHz/V, which is...
On copper and silver, ortho-benzoquinone moieties act as catecholates with facile metal adatom chelation by decoupling from the surface.
Nuclear power tube plates are made from the high-strength, low-carbon alloy steel SA-5083, which has high values of toughness and plasticity, though it is forged with poor consistency entails serious work hardening. It requires a large number deep holes machining accuracy surface quality to be processed. However, processed often not up standard Boring Trepanning Association (BTA) for deep-hole drilling plates; this led processing becoming bottleneck in manufacture steam generators main...
Linear modules equipped with two terminal hydroxamic acid groups act as the building block of diverse two-dimensional supramolecular motifs and patterns room-temperature stability on close-packed single-crystal surfaces silver gold, revealing a complex self-assembly scenario. By combining multiple investigation techniques (scanning tunneling microscopy, atomic force X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, density functional theory calculations), we analyze characteristics ordered assemblies which...
We employ a linear linker molecule consisting of benzene functionalised with two tetrazole moieties at para positions. Its self-assembly and coordination the native silver adatoms codeposited Fe on Ag(111) surface under ultra high vacuum conditions are investigated by means scanning tunnelling microscopy X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. discover rich spectrum room-temperature stable Ag Fe2+ nodes depending formation temperature.
A new Ni metal organic framework based on 2,2′-Biphenyldicarboxylic, 4,4′- bipyridine as linker is prepared by hydrothermal reaction and directly used an electrode material for supercapacitor the detection of sarcosine. [Ni3(BIPY)3(BPDA)2(HCOO)2(H2O)2]n (Ni-1; BIPY = 4,4′-bipyridine; BPDA 2,2′-Biphenyldicarboxylate) displays specific capacitance Ni-1 are 667 F/gat 1 A/g retention 82% initial at A/g. The excellent electrochemical property ascribed to intrinsic nature Ni-1. Furthermore,...

This briefing introduces a receiver (RX) front-end integrated with virtual switch-based transmit/receive switch (TRSW) and reconfigurable capacitor cross-coupled low noise amplifier (LNA) that employs the gain control scheme of direct shunt. Simulation testing results indicate TRSW has an insertion loss 0.2 dB isolation 30 dB. The LNA achieves maximum voltage 40.91 or power 31.91 dB, minimum S11 −18.5 input third-order intercept point −22 dBm. consumes 2 mA from 0.9 V supply NF 2.97
