Two molecular copper(II) complexes, (NMe4)2[CuII(L1)] (1) and (NMe4)2[CuII(L2)] (2), ligated by a N2O2 donor set of ligands [L1 = N,N'-(1,2-phenylene)bis(2-hydroxy-2-methylpropanamide), L2 N,N'-(4,5-dimethyl-1,2-phenylene)bis(2-hydroxy-2-methylpropanamide)] have been synthesized thoroughly characterized. An electrochemical study 1 in carbonate buffer at pH 9.2 revealed reversible copper-centered redox couple 0.51 V, followed two ligand-based oxidation events 1.02 1.25 catalytic water an...
Controlling the selectivity of 4e–/4H+ reduction oxygen over 2e–/2H+ is a key challenge in making efficient catalysts for fuel cell cathodes. A tyrosine residue poised active site cytochrome c oxidase (CcO) has been demonstrated to control hydrogen atom transfer reactions and cleavage O–O bond Fe–O–O–Cu moiety yield water. In couple small-molecule iron complexes supported by porphyrin derivatives, it was shown that presence protonation sites at secondary coordination sphere plays an...
One-electron oxidation of an FeIII–OH complex (1) results in the formation a ligand radical (2). Its reaction with (C6H5)3C˙ (C6H5)3COH, which is functional mimic compound II cytochrome P450.
A mononuclear manganese(V) oxo complex of a bis(amidate)bis(alkoxide) ligand, (NMe4)[MnV(HMPAB)(O)] [2; H4HMPAB = 1,2-bis(2-hydroxy-2-methylpropanamido)benzene], was synthesized and structurally characterized. Mn-Oterm distance 1.566(4) Å observed in the solid-state structure 2, consistent with Mn≡O formulation. The reaction redox-inactive metal ions (Mn+ Li+, Ca2+, Mg2+, Y3+, Sc3+) 2 resulted formation 2-Mn+ species, which were characterized by UV-vis, 1H NMR, cyclic voltammetry, situ IR...
Understanding the effect of local electrical field around reaction center in enzymes and molecular catalysis is an important topic research. Herein, we explored electrostatic exerted by alkaline earth metal ions (M2+ = Mg2+, Ca2+, Sr2+, Ba2+) Fe FeIII(Cl) complexes experimental computational investigations. M2+ coordinated dinuclear (12M) were synthesized characterized X-ray crystallography different spectroscopic techniques. EPR magnetic moment measurements exhibited presence high-spin...
Thermal decomposition of Pb(ii)–Cu(i)/Ag(i) heterobimetallic thiolate clusters yielded PbS nanoparticles along with a sought-after Cu(ii) hydrosulfide complex.
The syntheses of three polynuclear heterobimetallic complexes through the use a homoleptic mercuric thiolate anion as template for assembly coinage metal are presented. complexes, [(PPh3)3Ag3(μ-SPh)7Hg2] (1), [Hg(μ-SPh)4{Cu(PPh3)2}2] (2) and [(dppe)2Cu5(μ-SPh)7Hg2(SPh)2] (3) were utilized precursors fabrication Hg-Ag Hg-Cu intermetallics.
Polyaniline (PANI) doped with different dopants (HCl, dodecyl benzene sulfonic acid, (+)-Camphor-10 dinonyl naphthalene disulfonic acid) was synthesized by chemical oxidation method. The FTIR studies indicated that the back bone structure of PANI similar. Thermal stability evaluated in nitrogen atmosphere dynamic thermogravimetry and PANI-HCl sample showed minimum weight loss below 400°C. electrical conductivity not affected dopants. microwave absorption several polymers blends containing...
