Four differently shaped monolithic catalyst supports were made using 3D printing technology. Two catalytically active mixed oxides, MnFeOx and MnCuOx, applied to the impregnation technique. Catalysts characterized an adhesion test, field emission scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, Raman spectroscopy in a manner similar density functional theory model. Excellent mechanical stability of layer was obtained, with mass loss under 2% after 30 min ultrasound exposure. SEM analysis...
This review presents the results of research in field photocatalytic reduction carbon dioxide (CO2) to methane and methanol as valuable chemicals fuels. CO2 is a promising technology, but it an endothermic process with unfavourable thermodynamics. Other limitations include inertness molecule, slow multielectron process, lack understanding reaction mechanism, leading low selectivity insufficient efficiency. Tailoring parameters such adsorption, choice reducing agent, development...
In this work, ceramic monolithic catalyst carriers based on zirconium dioxide (ZrO2) were produced using fused filament fabrication (FFF). The active components deposited the resulting wet impregnation method. activity of prepared catalysts was evaluated by catalytic oxidation a mixture aromatic volatile organic compounds: benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and o-xylene (BTEX). efficiency investigated as function geometry carrier (ZDP, Z, M) chemical composition catalytically component (MnFeOx,...
In this work, the photocatalytic degradation of acetamiprid under UV-A light was studied in a rotating photoreactor operating recirculated batch mode and using an immobilized layer modified TiO2 photocatalyst. The aim study to determine reactive oxygen radicals investigate influence interfering compounds, which are crucial for successful acetamiprid. Superoxide anion singlet play role mechanism presence low concentrations hydrogen peroxide, is significantly enhanced.
This study deals with the synthesis and characterization of a series hybrid photocatalysts consisting different loadings TiO2, Cd, Fe on mesoporous SBA-15 material. The prepared samples were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), tested for removal neonicotinoid insecticide imidacloprid. results showed that uncalcined 10% Cd-SBA-15 catalyst exhibited best photocatalytic activity. degradation imidacloprid...
We have used a single SBA-15 silica batch (mesopore diameter of 7.1 nm) and the two-solvent impregnation technique with either pentane or cyclohexane to prepare model samples in which an initial aqueous solution salt precursor (iron nitrate iron chloride) is deposited mainly inside pores. Detailed characterization by SAXS, WAXS, Ar sorption, TEM (SAED), UV–visible–NIR spectroscopy described. Molecular species oxide particles are identified. Special emphasis given spatial location (trapped...
The aim of this work was to develop hybrid TiO2/ZIF-8 photocatalysts and test their activity for the removal agricultural pollutants in water. were prepared by an innovative method involving hydrothermal synthesis at 150 °C using a mechanochemically synthesized zeolitic imidazolate framework (ZIF-8) titanium tetraisopropoxide as dioxide (TiO2) precursor. Three composite with different mass fractions (5, 50, 95 wt%) characterized, adsorption photocatalytic properties investigated...
Many semiconductor photocatalysts are characterized by high photostability and non-toxicity but suffer from the limited excitation in UV part of spectrum fast recombination photogenerated electron–hole pairs. To improve above properties, biochar-supported composite have recently attracted much attention. Compared with pure photocatalyst, biochar-enriched catalyst has superior specific surface area porosity, catalytic efficiency, stability, recoverability. Biochar can be obtained various...
Abstract The heterogeneous catalytic wet peroxide oxidation (CWPO), involving total of organic compounds to CO 2 and H O is a possible path for the treatment toxic bio‐refractory wastewater streams. aim this work was synthesize characterize three Cu/ZSM5 catalysts prepared by direct hydrothermal synthesis. mass ratio active metal component in zeolite ranged from 1.62–3.24 wt %. These materials were tested CWPO aqueous phenol stainless steel Parr reactor, batch operation under mild conditions...
This paper is focused on development of the metal monolithic structure for total oxidation toluene at low temperature. The well-adhered catalyst, based mixed oxides manganese and nickel, washcoated Al/Al2O3 plates as metallic support. For comparison purposes, results observed manganese-nickel oxide supported monolith are compared with those obtained using powder type same catalyst. Prepared in both configurations show remarkable low-temperature activity oxidation. reaction temperature T50...
Abstract Air pollution is an environmental and a social problem which leads to multitude of adverse effects on human health standard life, state the ecosystems global change climate. pollutants are emitted from natural, but mostly anthropogenic sources may be transported over long distances. Some air extremely stable in atmosphere accumulate environment food chain, affecting beings, animals natural biodiversity. Obviously, complex that poses multiple challenges terms management abatements...
