The report presents experimental results obtained on 7 GHz pulsed magnicon amplifier with a new version of the output cavity. It also outlines plans for investigation steps to follow. This was developed at Budker INP as prototype microwave power source next generations linear colliders. tube operates in frequency-doubling mode drive signal. At present following parameters are achieved: maximum 55 MW, efficiency 56%, gain 72 dB and pulse width 1.1 microseconds.

The magnicon belongs to the class of high power RF sources where a modulation is provided by beam circular deflection and it an advanced version gyrocon. first was built tested in Novosibirsk mid 80s. 2.6 MW has been obtained for frequency 915 MHz pulse duration 30 mcsec, electron efficiency 85%. Good results during investigations show that can be adequate source next generation accelerators, especially future linear colliders accelerators transmutation nuclear waste. conception described...

The report presents new experimental results obtained on 7 GHz pulsed magnicon amplifier. In 1996, the following parameters were achieved: maximum output power of 46 MW, efficiency 49%. We relate further improving with elimination electromagnetic fields disturbing in cavity induced by large coupling holes loads.

The paper presents the latest results of research a new RF amplifier–magnicon, in which beam is modulated by deflecting magnetic field (no bunching at that). This device was invented and developed Budker INP as prototype microwave power source for linear electron-positron colliders. theoretical experimental studies physical mechanisms an output efficiency limitation, that allowed to develop operational version magnicon, are described paper. In 1995, 30 MW 35% gain 55 dB obtained during tests...

VEPP-5 forinjector klystron gallery (KG) is a large electrophysical installation that includes main part of RF-system: RF-power supply, synchrosystem units. This paper presents the control system (CS) it. CS based on "standard" 3-level model. Details its realization reflects KG functional requirements and experience accumulated in BINP, as well financial technical abilities.

Currently, the increasing interest of researchers is attracted by theoretical and practical problems mastering sub-terahertz terahertz frequency range. Electronic devices operating in these ranges find effective applications various fields science technology: aerospace equipment, security systems, spectroscopy, medicine, biology many others. The purpose this work to focus on a multiplication device that allows using basic sources relatively low generation enter results recent years obtained...
