Abstract A prototype broadband geodetic very long baseline interferometry system has been implemented, and measurements of the length over approximately two years, between December 2014 January 2017, have made in process exercising system, developing operational procedures, assessing precision for new observing concept. In addition to a signal chain installing instrumentation on both 12‐m antenna at Goddard Geophysical Astrophysical Observatory 18‐m Westford Massachusetts Institute...

Geodetic VLBI (Very Long Baseline Interferometry) currently consists of two observing networks (legacy S/X and broadband VGOS). Heretofore, the have run rather independently, which is non-ideal. There been several attempts to combine observations from both at sites with co-located antennas using either conventional local-tie surveys or tie-sessions between VGOS, both. Unfortunately, number limited, hampers progress. To overcome this problem, we proposed an approach, so-called mixed-mode tie...

Water vapour is a key variable in atmospheric processes and plays crucial role motions on wide range of scales space time. The water content approximately proportional to the zenith wet delay (ZWD) which, turn, constitutes parameter geodetic microwave techniques (VLBI GPS). Apart from being determined by measurement techniques, ZWD can also be derived numerical weather prediction (NWP) models such as non-hydrostatic MM5 model hydrostatic HIRLAM model. At station Robledo de Chavela (Madrid)...

GPS observables taken from light-weight buoys more than 80 km the reference stations have been analysed using different noise models in parameter estimation process. The time series solution of buoy positioning used to extract values oceanic variables (sea level, tides and waves) tropospheric information. These are compared with data measurements a meteorological buoy.

ABSTRACT The second realization of the International Celestial Reference Frame (ICRF2), which is current fundamental celestial reference frame adopted by Astronomical Union, based on Very Long Baseline Interferometry (VLBI) data at radio frequencies in X band and S band. European Space Agency’s Gaia mission, launched 2013 December 19, started routine scientific operations 2014 July. By scanning whole sky, it expected to observe ∼500,000 Quasi Stellar Objects optical domain an average 70...
