Regional products are considered an important element of European cultural identity, contributing to the development and sustainability rural areas. The article presents research regional labels from territory Slovak Republic. Our was aimed at determining views producers towards product labeling scheme. survey took place January 2020 April using online questionnaire via Google Docs. results obtained were statistically processed: t-test, Fisher's exact test, Pearson correlation coefficient....
Water retention is an important hydrological ecosystem service of active floodplain soils. The aim the study was to evaluate soil chemical, physical, and properties in Fluvisols three different ecosystems that have impact on water services (WRHESs). We selected 16 localities along Štiavnica River Central Slovakia, 8 located riparian zones (RZ), 5 arable lands (AL), 3 grasslands (GL). Soil samples were collected from two layers (0–10 20–30 cm). In laboratory, physical (soil texture) chemical...
Occurrence, distribution, and toxicity assessment of 16 Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs) prioritized by the US Environmental Protection Agency in pyrolysis products -pyrolysis oil wax -of different plastics are characterized.PP, HDPE, LDPE, PVC, PS (respectively, polypropylene, high-and low-density polyethylene, polyvinylchloride polystyrene) their mixture named 5P chosen as a feed material for pyrolysis.Pyrolysis process is carried out custom-built laboratory batch reactor with...
The study is focused on Hg content in topsoil of dump-field Veľká Studňa, nearby former mining area Malachov and its accumulation by selected plants, which consisted the local representatives grass, herb, wood species. was divided into several parcels, based physiognomic features plant communities. In order to predict distribution for whole area, interpolation methods were used GIS. material consists 4 species: Calamagrostis epigejos, Lotus corniculatus, Leontodon hispidus Picea abies....
Abstract The main objective of this paper is to evaluate an efficiency 3,5 - dichlorophenol removal from wastewater by using alternative adsorbents. Chlorophenols are organic compounds consisting a benzene ring, OH groups and also atoms chlorine. may have huge isomere variety that means there differences in their chemical physical properties. Due toxicity it necessary remove them waste water way such process described.
The objective of this study was to investigate the removal phenol from aqueous solution by using activated and non-activated red mud in adsorption experiments. carried out as function dosage initial concentration. It found that maximum obtained at 0.5 g concentration 40 mg/l. Activation has no positive effect on effectiveness.

AOP processes (Advanced Oxidation processes) are presently used as an alternative to traditional methods for removing of persistent pollutants from wastewater. Article is focused on removal phenol wastewater by using UV photodegradation. As a source light medium pressure mercury lamp with output 400W used. The aim article perform hazard analysis in work photoreactor HAZOP method, eliminate risks working this equipment and propose corrective measures improve quality health safety during work.
Rapid industrialization and usage of heavy metals in industrial processes have resulted unprecedented increase the metal flux into groundwater. Hexavalent chromium is one elements with high health risks such as mutagenicity carcinogenicity. Adsorption economically feasible alternative removal. We used spectrophotometric method for monitoring hexavalent adsorption from aqueous solution use black adsorbent. monitored influence temperature surface treatment on process.
The main aim of the article is to investigate content nutrients and potentially toxic elements in individual parts plant body using analytical method energy dispersive micro-X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy (μXRF). As model species, silver birch (Betula pendula) European spruce (Picea abies) were selected sampled at abandoned Hg-ore deposit Veľká Studňa on well-known mining territory Malachov (Central Slovakia). In order bioaccumulation mechanism test efficiency method, analyses focused...
<p>Ore-mining industry produces a waste, which belongs to the main sources of potentially toxic elements (PTEs). One initial steps necessary for remediation project contaminated sites is research PTEs mobile forms that are very capable enter trophic chain mainly through plants. Great abandoned copper deposit São Domingos (Portugal) was selected as representative area since presence high contents proved there in previous...
