Abstract This study compares the thermal degradation and aging resistance of NBR compounds activated with ZnO or MgO-green synthesized assistance Camellia sinensis extract. Thermal was studied using Flynn-Wall-Ozawa method. Aging investigated by changes in crosslink density mechanical properties before after samples are exposed a forced-air oven at 100 °C/72 h. The activation energies for are, respectively, 220 kJ mol-1 700–200 mol-1. After oxidative-thermal aging, goes up 24% 120% ZnO....

ABSTRACT Controlled‐release fertilizer is one of the most critical tools in agribusiness for decreasing environmental impacts. Thus, development bio‐based systems able to induce slow release fertilizers has become focus numerous researchers. In this sense, work presents a slow‐release prepared by melt mixing poly(butylene succinate) filled with 30 wt % urea and 5 montmorillonite clay. The obtained materials were characterized using FTIR, XRD, SAXS. Also, was investigated gravimetric...

In this work, novel nanocomposite films based on babassu coconut mesocarp and zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnO NPs), synthesized by a green route, were produced for application as food packaging films. The prepared using the casting method containing different contents of ZnO NPs (0 wt%, 0.1 0.5 1.0 wt%). characterized Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), instrumental color analysis,...

In the tire industry carbon black is being replaced by silica as a filler in recent due to development of “green tires”. Amorphous precipitated combination with silane coupling agent tread compounds can result fuel savings 3% 4% compared having treads made from black. This means 20% reduction rolling resistance and consequently lower greenhouse gas emissions. On other hand, rice one most important food crops generating around 22% weight husk during its milling, material that mainly used for...

Cross-link density impacts most mechanical properties of rubber, therefore it is necessary to have a method measure it. The widely used via equilibrium swelling, however, time consuming and uses organic solvents. Dynamic Shear Test (DST) can be calculate both chemical physical cross-links in rubber compounds shorter times than by swelling method, without the use In this work, using toluene acetone was validate dynamic shear tests for different nitrile (NBR) compounds. DST had good...

Epoxidized natural rubber (ENR) and synthetic non-modified hydrotalcite (HT) compounds were prepared evaluated. Natural (NR) was epoxidized with 20.6% of epoxy groups from a chemical modification the latex. A sulfur-based curing system formulation accelerators used. The amounts HT in ENR-HT compositions varied between 0, 2, 3 5 phr. All evaluated as to cure parameters, rheological properties, thermal resistance crosslink density. results showed that mineral filler does not have significant...

Abstract This study produced and characterized composites based on nitrile rubber reinforced with rockwool fiber (RW) carbon black (CB). Ten formulations dual‐filler loading amounts ranging from 0 to 40 phr of CB RW were designed using a simplex‐centroid mixture. The assessed regarding their rheometric, rheological, mechanical, thermal properties. use the in system contributed overall improvements Shore A hardness, tear strength, modulus at 50%, resilience, as well reducing Payne effect....
