In view of the shortcomings Probabilistic Roadmaps (PRM) in case narrow passages, an improved method based on optimal sampling strategy is proposed. By dense area obstacles, points distributed inside obstacle are selected and uniformly sampled by distanced, so that point generated around free area, thereby increasing number passages. The simulation results show PRM has more passages than standard PRM. And time path planning, success rate length also significantly improved.
