In this work, we focus on understanding the morphology and photocatalytic properties of CeO2 nanocrystals (NCs) synthesized via a microwave-assisted solvothermal method using acetone ethanol as solvents. Wulff constructions reveal complete map available morphologies theoretical-experimental match with octahedral nanoparticles obtained through synthesis solvent. NCs in show greater contribution emission peaks blue region (∼450 nm), which may be associated higher Ce3+ concentration,...

Defects at semiconductors with electron acceptor and donor sites govern the electronic optoelectronic applications due to their unique properties. This work provides deep insight into nature of defects conduction mechanism in α-Ag2WO4. To this aim, a detailed analysis results XRD Rietveld refinements, FE-SEM images, measurements different spectroscopies (impedance, positron annihilation lifetime, photoluminescence) are carried out on α-Ag2WO4 samples synthesized by simple co-precipitation...

A study was undertaken about the structural, morphological and magnetic properties at room temperature of crystalline aluminium substituted yttrium iron garnet, YIG (Y3Fe5-xAlxO12 with 1.5< x < 1.7) nanoparticles prepared by polymeric precursormethod 700?C for 2 hours. The single-phase character well-defined structure were confirmed X-ray diffraction, excluding presence any other phases. Raman spectra showed that changes lattice vibration would influence interaction between Fe ion...

The origin of abnormal ferroelectric and unusual piezoelectricity in the polycrystalline CaCu3Ti4O12 (CCTO) thin films deposited by RF-sputtering on Pt/Ti/SiO2/Si (100) substrates was explored. CCTO films, at room temperature followed annealing 600?C for 2 h a conventional furnace, have cubic structure with lattice parameter = 7.379 ? 0.001 without any secondary phases. No polarization loss up to 1010 switching cycles, switched ?P 30 ?C/cm2 measured 400 kV/cm evidenced. piezoelectric...

In this work, we investigated the synthesis temperature effect on crystal growth of Eu-doped ceria nanostructures synthesized via microwave-assisted hydrothermal method and how it influences their red-light emission. Sphere-like nanoparticles, nanorods, nanorods/nanocubes, nanocubes were obtained by gradually increasing temperature. The structural analysis revealed that displayed higher crystallinity lower disorder in comparison to other morphologies. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS)...

In this study, we investigated the structural, microstructural, magnetic and cytotoxic properties of encapsulated ZnFe2O4 nanoparticles. The nanoparticles were synthesized using microwave-assisted hydrothermal method their surfaces silanized later with poly-2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate (PHEMA). Due to compatibility Zn2+ ions a human body, are preferable among all kinds ferrites for biomedical applications. Quantitative phase analysis obtained by Rietveld refinement reveals formation...

Pure and calcium-modified (CaxBi1-xFeO3, x = 0.0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.30) thin films were fabricated on Pt(111)/Ti/SiO2/Si substrates by the soft chemical method using LaNiO3 as bottom electrode. Highly (200)- oriented BFO film was coherently grown LNO at 500?C. Ca-doped BiFeO3 have a dense microstructure rounded grains. The conventional problem of leakage current for highest doped reduced from 10-5 to 10-10 with remarkable improvement in film/electrode interface, homogeneity, crystallinity,...
