An efficient and realistic electromagnetic scattering model for a tree trunk above ground plane is presented. The modeled as finite-length stratified dielectric cylinder with corrugated bark layer. considered to be smooth homogeneous an arbitrary slope. bistatic response of the obtained by invoking two approximations. In microwave region, height trunks are usually much larger than wavelength. Therefore interior fields in finite length representing can approximated those infinite same...

ABSTRACT The reliability of a microelectromechanical system is an essential issue before the microdevice can be applied in practice. It indispensable to investigate mechanical properties microstructure meet requirements for longer lifetime and reliable performance. This paper studies fabrication fatigue characteristics microcantilever beam, which among most widely employed microstructures sensors actuators. A pad fabricated at free end beam larger effective external electrostatic load on...

This paper aims to study and develop a start-up surge-current-restraining strategy for full-bridge LLC resonant converter. The idea of this thesis is first operate the converter at half-bridge mode, therefore halve tank voltage into half input voltage. Afterwards, frequency modulation control phase-shift are also applied suppress energy. In addition, relationship between current, output voltage, switching based on state plane analysis investigate obtain adjusting curve under consideration...

Closed-form expressions are derived for the TE scattering by a narrow resistive strip array in presence of dielectric slab. This is accomplished introducing single edge-mode expansion to represent current density followed Galerkin's solution pertinent integral equation. The accuracy approximate examined comparison with moment method and several curves shown, illustrating how different parameters affect reflectivity transmissivity array. Particular attention given free-standing where an...

The 100-nm NiO-Ag composite films with Ag content of 0 to 24.4 at.% are deposited on glass substrates. It is found that an ultra high electric resistivity (rho) value obtained and cannot be detected by four point probe measurement when the less than 3.4 at.%. rho reduced significantly 29.0 Omega-cm as increased 4.2 at.%, it decreases greatly 0.009 further film shows p-type conduction. However, becomes n-type increases 9.3 which results from atoms segregated at grain boundary NiO excess added...

In this work we have studied the magnetic properties and microstructure of L10 FePt(60 nm)/CrPt bilayer with different CrPt thicknesses from 20 to 120 nm after post-annealing at 400 °C. FePt films were deposited coherently on preordered underlayer due structural disorder–order transformation a slight lattice distortion fcc fct. The ordering clearly increased thickness thus induced film ordering. Introducing ordered equal-atomic caused in-plane out-of plane coercivity squareness ratio...

Abstract In 1965, Gordon E. Moore, the co-founder of Intel stated that numbers transistors on a chip will double every 18 months and his theory called Moore's Law. The law had been guiding principle design over 50 years. technology dimension is scaling very aggressively in IC foundry. For example, TSMC announced their 5nm Fin Field-Effect Transistor (FinFET) process optimized for both mobile high performance computing applications. It scheduled to start risk production second half 2019.[1]...

Random-modulation continuous wave (RMCW) lidar has found applications in robotics, autonomous vehicles, and security, due to its long un-ambiguous range, low mutual interference, the ability resolve multiple targets a single measurement [1], [2]. However, associated time-of-flight (ToF) design is challenging because matched-filter type of demodulation required. Prior works have shown ranging with cm-level resolutions, while most them implemented ToF function discrete components or FPGA,...

This work presents an integrated circuit design of a time-of-flight module for pulsed chaos lidar systems. With mixed-signal architecture and 1-bit digitization, the proposed evaluates delay in time corresponding distance by calculating cross-correlation function between two signals using 16-unit multiplier-and-integrator array. Tunable filtering further allows resolution dynamic range scaling. The prototype IC with 90-nm CMOS was evaluated in-house system. At 5 GS/s, experiment results...
