Rural areas play a crucial role in addressing challenges related to climate change, food provision, biomass, and energy. At the same time, digital solutions have proven essential improving safety, quality of life, resilience daily life. However, lower population density lack infrastructure such rural make it difficult develop technology-driven private businesses public services. This can negatively impact socio-economic indicators hinder development new services cover peoples' needs. For...

The notion of context has been widely studied and there are several authors that have proposed different definitions context. However, not in the framework human mobility imported directly from other computing fields without specifically addressing tourism domain requirements. In order to store manage information a data model management platform needed. Ontologies used modelling, but many them designed be applied general ubiquitous environments, do contain specific concepts related or some...

During the last decade, remote laboratories have been extensively used as a primary learning tool in many universities around world. However, today most of are still only by same institution that provides or even develops them, direct partners federated environments. There two ways to support this type federation: a) using authentication system such Shibboleth b) installing laboratory management supports federation natively. In both cases, consumer must go through process deployment complex...

This paper presents a generic semantic discovery algorithm, based in OWL, for UDDI registries that is not bound to any specific ontology or concepts from it. It enables match instances and properties without specifically knowing the ontologies being matched it use all contained request resulting matching closer user needs. Also, generality of proposed algorithm change used describe an element registry needing modify therefore, other OWL information stored registry.
