X-ray powder diffraction, solid-state NMR,...
Michael addition (MA) is one of the most well studied chemical transformation in synthetic chemistry. Here, we report synthesis and crystal structures a library 3d/4f coordination clusters (CCs) formulated as [ZnII2YIII2L4(solv)X(Z)Y] study their catalytic properties toward MA nitrostyrenes with barbituric acid derivatives. Each CC presents two borderline hard/soft Lewis acidic ZnII centers hard YIII defect dicubane topology that brings different metals into proximity ∼3.3 Å. Density...

The employment of three structurally related Schiff bases H2L1, H2L2, and H3L3 with zinc lanthanide salts under various reaction conditions, gave four families compounds formulated as [ZnII2LnIII2(L1)4(EtOH)6][ClO4]2 (1–3), [ZnII5Ln(OH)(L1)6(H2O)] (4–6), [ZnII4LnIII2(OH)2(L2)4 (OAc)2(NO3)2(DMF)3]·DMF (7–9), [ZnII2LnIII2(L3)2(NO3)2(CO3)2(CH3OH)2] (10–12) robust novel topologies. Synthetic aspects are discussed. A comprehensive topological analysis all reported ZnII/LnIII CCs a core nuclearity...
The transformative character of the reported 3d–4f Coordination Clusters (CCs) in catalytic reactions is summarised, demonstrating potential this emerging field.
Abstract Electrical double‐layer supercapacitors offer numerous advantages in the context of energy storage; however, their widespread use is hindered by high unit cost and low specific energy. Recently, water‐in‐salt (WIS) electrolytes have garnered interest for storage devices. Nevertheless, direct application high‐power devices limited due to viscosity. In this study, we investigate WIS Lithium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)Imide (LiTFSI) electrolyte, revealing a capacitance despite its...
CC-linkage of two o-phenylene ligands was observed in the isomerization dinuclear gold(II) complex 1, X = I or Br, to 2. An unusual feature this rearrangement is that product remains fixed via P-donor atoms coordination sphere metal atoms.—1 obtained from 1a (see previous communication).
Efficient photoswitching in the solid-state remains rare, yet is highly desirable for design of functional solid materials. In particular, molecular solar thermal energy storage materials high conversion to metastable isomer crucial achieve density. Herein, we report that 4-methoxyazobenzene (MOAB) can be occluded into pores a metal-organic framework Zn

Solar thermal fuel (STF) materials store energy through light-induced changes in the structures of photoactive molecular groups, and stored is released as heat when system undergoes reconversion to ground-state structure. Solid-state STF devices could be useful for a range applications; however, structural required storage are often limited or prevented by dense packing condensed phases. Recently, polymers have been proposed effective solid-state platforms, they can offer bulk properties...
