Target-anchored monovalent degraders are more drug-like than their bivalent counterparts, Proteolysis Targeting Chimeras (PROTACs), while offering greater target specificity control the E3 ligase-anchored degraders, also known as molecular glues. However, discovery has typically been serendipitous, and rules governing identification remain unclear. This study focused on intentional of SMARCA2/A4 using a library based bromodomain-binding ligands. Compound G-6599 emerged lead candidate,...
We compared community composition and co-occurrence patterns of phyllosphere fungi between island mainland populations within a single plant species (Mussaenda kwangtungensis) using high-throughput sequencing technology. then used 11 microsatellite loci for host genotyping. The differed significantly from their counterparts in fungal structure. Topological features network showed geographic wherein assemblages were less complex, but more modular regions than ones. Moreover, interactions...
Fungi have a huge biodiversity and play important roles in soil biogeochemical cycling island ecosystems. Although biogeography has been widely studied for macroorganisms, fungal community assembly true islands its relationship with area are less documented. We examined communities 18 oceanic of two types (eight non-coral 10 coral islands) using the Illumina MiSeq sequencing technique. Our results showed that α-diversity (species richness) was substantially different among islands, higher...
Despite much research in the field of island biogeography, mechanisms regulating insular diversity remain elusive. Here, we aim to explore underlying plant species-area relationships two tropical archipelagoes South China Sea. We found positive for both coral and continental archipelagoes. However, our results showed that different contributed similar between For islands, soil nutrients spatial distance among communities played major roles shaping community structure species diversity. By...
Abstract Aim DNA barcoding has been widely applied to species diversity assessment in various ecosystems, including temperate forests, subtropical and tropical rain forests. However, coral islands have never barcoded before due the difficulties field exploring. This study aims at flowering plants from a unique ecosystem of Pacific Ocean supplying valuable evolutionary information for better understanding plant community assembly those particular future. Location Xisha Islands, China. Methods...
The present paper deals with the detailed cytological study of Suriana maritima L. (Surianaceae) from Xisha Islands (also known as Paracel Islands) South China Sea. somatic chromosome number species is 18 and karyotype formula 2n = 2x m. interphase nucleus classified round prochromosome. This first karyological investigation in Surianaceae, results provide new insights into characteristics plant family.
A new species of Quercus (Fagaceae), Q. pseudosetulosa is described and illustrated from Dawanshan Island in Guangdong, China. The belongs to the setulosa morpho-complex with glabrous leaf abaxial surface acuminate tip, but it differs other related by its long petioles, large, thickly leathery, glabrous, irregular spaced secondary veins, inconspicuous tertiary veins recurved blades. Its distribution, habitats conservation status are also addressed.
Stillingia (Euphorbiaceae) contains ca. 30 species from Latin America, the southern United States, and various islands in tropical Pacific Indian Ocean. We report here for first time occurrence of a member genus China, lineata subsp. pacifica. The distribution China is apparently narrow, known only Pingzhou Wanzhou Islands Wanshan Archipelago South Sea, which close to Pearl River estuary. This study updates our knowledge on geographic genus, provides new palynological data as well.
There has been much debate on what, including evolutionary history, ecological processes or environmental change, might contribute to species extinctions. In this study, we explored how attributes and life forms were correlated with extinction risk of Chinese flowering plants. We defined genus-level as the ratio threatened over all in each plant genus. compiled data for 2731 genera representing 27332 angiosperm from IUCN Red List assessments. quantified strength phylogenetic signal used...
