La composición de la fauna carábidos fue estudiada a lo largo del perfil altitudinal Minca-Cerro Kennedy Sierra Nevada Santa Marta desde los 700 2620 m, utilizando trampas caída (pitfall) y métodos recolección manual en sitios bosque nativo plantaciones coníferas. Los resultados distribución recolectada muestran diferencias entre las utilizadas cada sitio muestreo altitudinal, al igual que abundancia especies, braquiptería endemismo. Se registraron tres nuevas especies para Colombia.
