Abstract Oil well cement (OWC) are widely used in oil industry both exploration and production of gas. The purpose OWC is to seal the annular space between metal casing walls a borehole. has other application such as grouting repair offshore structure, cementing wells likes water, waste disposal, geothermal, injection or storage. There numerous problems high temperature pressure downhole condition well. slurry undergoes reduction strength (strength retrogression) with time when exposed...
Abstract The fluid invasion basically gas in the cement column is a worldwide problem. This one of main challenges oil well industries to protect wellbore from invasion. problem has recognized mid 1970 and basic technologies associated with it not changed significantly. leakage can cause catastrophic events such as blow out contamination adjacent aquifer layers leading environmental concerns. Although much effort been put forth on migration issues, but no efficient solutions have established...
Abstract Singapore has adopted modular construction method known as Prefabricated Prefinished Volumetric Construction (PPVC), where this requires modules to be prefabricated in a factory environment and subsequently transported site for installation. A 40‐storey steel‐concrete composite PPVC building consisting of structural frame central reinforced concrete (RC) core wall subjected wind seismic loading combinations are studied on the global response behavior drift behavior. The case study...
This paper is an extended from the 24th International Conference on Mechatronics Technology, ICMT 2021. The basic mechanical characteristic that gauges stiffness of a solid material known as Young’s modulus. To evaluate modulus, destructive testing frequently used. describes how to determine material’s dynamic modulus using Digital Image Correlation (DIC) in conjunction with numerical back-analysis. Three different materials (brass, aluminum, and steel) were examined for their static...
Every year, million tons of plastic waste are generated globally which pose a threat to the environment and public health. Thus, sourcing for an effective way manage these accumulating poorly recycled becomes pressing problem. This review paper summaries recent studies on utilization as aggregates fibers construction application. Besides effect replacement level, physical shape/size aggregates/fibers, this also reviews different types surface treatments (chemical, coating) that can enhance...
This paper reports on an international comparison of surface-texture parameters, Ra, Ry5 and Ry, carried out between nine national metrology institutes from 1996 to 1998 under the auspices Asia-Pacific Metrology Programme (APMP) coordinated by CSIRO National Measurement Laboratory (NML, Australia). The results show that consistency Ra measurements is generally better than Ry measurements, which appear split into two sub-groups with some crossover. Agreement somewhat for artefacts higher...
The Young's modulus is a fundamental mechanical property that measures the stiffness of solid material. Destructive material testing common method to determine modulus. This paper presents vibration measurement technique using Digital Image Correlation (DIC) as an alternative materials. principle based on linear transverse vibrations Euler-Bernoulli cantilever beam with clamped-free boundary conditions. dynamic responses three materials (steel, aluminium and brass) were discussed. For each...
