To determine the prevalence of primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG) in Segovia, Spain. We conducted a cross-sectional, population-based epidemiologic study, target population which was residents Spain, aged 40 to 79 years. A sample 569 subjects randomly selected stratified manner according gender and age groups. All participants underwent complete ophthalmic examination that included measurement visual acuity refraction, tonometry, anterior segment biomicroscopy, funduscopy, stereoscopic...

For biodiversity conservation and the development of protected areas, it is essential to create strategic plans that ensure preservation sustainable use natural resources. Biogeography plays a crucial role in supporting these efforts by identifying categorizing geographic areas (regionalization) represent different biotas, as well recognizing patterns distribution. Another application regionalization planning species sampling inventories. Developing list vital for monitoring understanding...

Currently, the volume of sensitive content on Internet, such as pornography and child pornography, amount time that people spend online (especially children) have led to an increase in distribution (e.g., images children being sexually abused, real-time videos abuse, grooming activities, etc.). It is therefore essential effective IT tools automate detection blocking this type material, manual filtering huge volumes data practically impossible. The goal study carry out a comprehensive review...

Background: Computerized decision support systems (CDSS) provide new opportunities for automating antimicrobial stewardship (AMS) interventions and integrating them in routine healthcare. CDSS are recommended as part of AMS programs by international guidelines but few have been implemented so far. In the context publicly funded COMPuterized Antibiotic Stewardship Study (COMPASS), we developed two CDSSs prescriptions integrated into in-house electronic health records public hospitals...

Social network analysis aims to obtain relational data from social systems identify leaders, roles, and communities in order model profiles or predict a specific behavior users' network. Preserving anonymity networks is subject of major concern. Anonymity can be compromised by disclosing senders' receivers' identity, message content, sender-receiver relationships. Under strongly incomplete information, statistical disclosure attack used estimate the node characteristics such as centrality...

In network communications, mixes provide protection against observers hiding the appearance of messages, patterns, length and links between senders receivers. Statistical disclosure attacks aim to reveal identity receivers in a communication setting when it is protected by standard techniques based on mixes. This work aims develop global statistical attack detect relationships users. The only information used attacker number messages sent received each user for round, batch grouped anonymity...

Abstract In this work, the multinomial mixture model is studied, through a maximum likelihood approach. The convergence of estimator to set with characteristics interest shown. In this work we study robustness in Bayesian models through a generalization of the Normal distribution. We show new appropriate techniques order to deal with distribution inference. Then propose two approaches decide, some applications, if should replace usual model by generalization. First, pose dilemma as rejection problem, using diagnostic measures. second approach evaluate model's predictive efficiency. illustrate those perspectives simulation study, non linear and longitudinal data model.
