A spin-probe method is described that can detect changes in the relative aggregation numbers SDS micelles with a precision of about one molecule. The based on fact 14N hyperfine coupling constant sensitive to average fraction volume occupied by water region nitroxide moiety located near micelle surface. Defining A0(NA) be at an number NA, we find = A0(0) + (∂A0/∂NA)NA, where NA controlled varying either or NaCl concentrations. For spin probe 5-doxylstearic acid ester(5DSE), combination...

Osteosarcoma cancers are becoming more common in children and young adults, existing treatments have low efficacy a very high mortality rate, making it pressing to search for new chemotherapies with selectivity index. Copper complexes shown promise the treatment of osteosarcoma. Here, we report synthesis, characterization, anticancer activity [Cu(N–N–Fur)(NO3)(H2O)] complex where N–N–Fur is (E)-N′-(2-hydroxy-3-methoxybenzylidene)furan-2-carbohydrazide. The was characterized via X-ray...

This work compares the effect of photogenerated singlet oxygen (O(2)((1)Delta(g))) (type II mechanism) and free radicals I on cytochrome c structure reactivity. Both reactive species were obtained by photoexcitation methylene blue (MB(+)) in monomer dimer forms, respectively. The form is predominant at low dye concentrations (up to 8 microm) or presence an excess SDS micelles, while dimers are 0.7 mm SDS. Over a pH range which native form, O(2) ((1)Delta(g)) induced Soret band shift (from...
