The common-mode (CM) current due to a trace near printed circuit board (PCB) edge, and its suppression by guard band have been studied experimentally with finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) modeling. As the band, copper tape is connected along entire edge of ground plane. First, PCB electromagnetic interference (EMI) coupling path that results from nonzero impedance plane discussed. moved closer CM increases. Then, effect on detailed. A parallel most effective in suppressing current....

An equivalent electrical circuit of a microstrip line (MSL) with magnetic film was proposed. The estimation method its parameters investigated in order to clarify design guideline for noise suppression sheet (NSS) which placed on the traces electronic devices. First, effect complex permeability by analysis cross section line. Second, an MSL Co-Zr-Nb designed as test bench considering impedance matching signal frequency range (below 1 GHz). Then, transmission coefficients and conducted were...

Abstract A method for detecting atrial fibrillation (AF) from electrocardiogram (ECG) measured by a 24‐hour Holter electrocardiograph (Holter‐ECG) is proposed using convolutional neural network (CNN). In the preprocessing stage, artifacts and noises on Holter‐ECG are removed bandpass filter. The detection consists of two stages: extraction abnormal waveforms one‐dimensional CNN trained with segmented ECG waveform its spectral entropy, identification AF two‐dimensional spectrogram. total 47...

An equivalent circuit model for predicting electro- magnetic (EM) radiation from a printed board (PCB) driven by connected feed cable is proposed and demonstrated. The based on consideration of concepts CM antenna impedance distributed constant to the conventional mechanisms current- voltage-driven. Good agreement between predicted measured results shows validity model. can predict explain frequency response current with engineering accuracy, also express intermediate state current-driven It...

PCB traces routed near board edges and carrying high-speed signals are considered to contribute EMI problems. Consequently, design maxims state that might have intentional or unintentional high frequency components on them be kept away from edges. This costs valuable surface area as boards become more densely designed. Further, concerning not well quantified. The increase in a trace is increasingly closer the edge has been studied experimentally with numerical modeling.
