AAC Springfield is a high protein soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr.] cultivar developed by the Ottawa Research and Development Centre, Agriculture Agri-Food Canada, Ottawa, Ontario. It intended for production in 2400 to 2600 crop heat unit areas of Manitoba, Ontario Quebec. was issued Certificate Eligibility Certification No. 1864-2016 Canadian Seed Growers’ Association on 10 May 2016. granted Plant Breeders’ Rights certificate number 5799 16 August 2018.
Abstract A comprehensive study was performed to investigate the kernel phenolics content and profile of a broad range maize inbreds varying in disease resistance gibberella ear rot. Three phenolic fractions (soluble free, soluble conjugated, insoluble bound) at different developmental stages two growing seasons were analyzed. The revealed genotype dependency. highest amount diversity day 11 after self‐pollination both seasons. This confirmed by distinctive PCA biplot clustering compared...
Abstract This article presents a graphical method to visually analyze the trait–yield association (TYA) patterns based on data from multi‐location, multi‐year crop variety trials, exemplified using oat trials conducted across Canada 2017 2022. Each year new set of 60–66 ( Avena sativa L.) breeding lines were tested in replicated yield at 9–11 locations, and for yield, key agronomic quality traits, crown rust scores collected all or some locations. Pearson correlation coefficient was...
Soybean breeding programs targeting tofu quality must evaluate their performance within zones of adaptation. A comprehensive study was carried out to examine soybean lines from three maturity groups (MGs; MG0, MG00, and MG000) 2018 2022. Several agronomic, chemical composition tofu-related traits were evaluated, the associations among investigated. The results showed that genotypes in MG0 yielded higher matured later, which confirmed selection targeted for a specific group successful....
