The use of membrane technology in the treatment Acid Mine Drainage (AMD) can result reduction chemical usage and sludge production making process more environmentally friendly. This study deals with optimization filtration performance AMD using two nanofiltration (NF) membranes (NF99 DK) one reverse osmosis (RO). All were used various tests treating a model solution at different concentration levels order to cover actual found mining industry. main parameters which studied determine optimal...
Acid mine drainage (AMD) is recognized as one of the more critical environmental problems in mining industry, with potential severe contamination surface and groundwater, well soils. Different conventional methods are used to treat AMD such lime neutralization, which added raise pH then precipitate dissolved toxic heavy metals. In addition a high concentration sulphate, sludge produced by this process has no economic value be disposed large areas land. Nanofiltration (NF) membranes new...
In this work, multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) will be implemented as a coating material on commercial membranes (nylon) using Trix surfactant. Four masses of MWCNTs (5, 15, 30, and 60 mg) were used in the process. Many parameters measured for both nylon four coated membranes. These include their electrical properties, wettability, mechanical surface textural permeability rejection salt. The findings indicated that Elongation within range 2.7–18%, tensile strength 2.5–3.4 MPa, Young's...
Abstract Viscosity, flash point, refractive index, viscosity specific gravity, aniline foam testing, color stability, ash content, water saponification value, iodine and other properties were investigated for Jordanian jojoba oil. Results showed that oil has low contents high point index. Viscosity gravity changed only slightly with temperatures. As an additive, improved the index of lubricants from 100 to 130. When subjected heating cooling 40 200°C, chemical structure, kinematic viscosity,...
Abstract Nanofiltration membranes (NF) are being employed in pretreatment unit operations both thermal and membrane seawater desalination processes as partial demineralization to seawater. In order predict NF performance, a systematic study on the filtration performance of selected commercial against is presented this paper. Two nanofiltration (NF90 NF270) have been investigated details their filtering salt mixture, synthetic real cross‐flow process at pressure range from 4 9 bars. The...
Abstract Nanofiltration (NF) membranes have been employed in pre‐treatment unit operations both thermal and membrane seawater desalination processes. This has resulted reduction of chemicals used pretreatment processes as well lowering the energy consumption water production cost and, therefore, led to a more environmentally friendly In order predict NF performance, systematic study on filtration performance selected commercial against brackish is required. this study, three nanofiltration...
Wastewater produced from many industries such as dyeing, textile industry, minerals processing/ phosphate beneficiation, food processing and deinking is either reused after being treated by conventional treatment methods or pumped to drainage systems without treatment. This represents a serious environmental problem causes challenges the countries which face water shortages. A hybrid dissolved air flotation (DAF)-membrane process promised technology can be used for of types wastewater. Froth...
