Upconverted circularly polarized luminescence (UCPL) processes have attracted great interest, because the chiroptical properties could be expressed in different photophysical processes. In this Letter, first example of two-photon absorption-based upconverted (TP-UCPL) is demonstrated. The chiral α-octylamine-modified cesium lead bromides perovskite nanocrystals exhibited TP-UCPL with a absorption cross section at 800 nm (σ2,800 nm) up to 3.68 × 104 GM and dissymmetric factor ( glum) 7.0...

Biomaterials in nature often exhibit hierarchical chiral structures with an intriguing mechanism involving chirality transfer from molecular to supramolecular and the nano- or microscale level. To mimic cross-level transfer, we present here one kind of host–guest complex system built β-cyclodextrin (β-CD), sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS), fluorescent dyes, which show multilevel chirality, including β-CD, induced β-CD/SDS complexes, a lattice self-assembled nanosheet, mesoscopic assembled...

A series of nonbridged axially chiral binaphthyl derivatives were synthesized and used as dopants for nematic liquid crystals (N*-LCs). It was found that substituted at 3,3' positions or 2,2' rings could induce N*-LCs to show opposite circularly polarized luminescence (CPL) signals, despite having the same configuration. Additionally, a CPL switch be constructed in these regulated by applied electric field.

Noble metal nanostructures with plasmonic circular dichroism (PCD) have attracted interest, and a modulation of PCD is great importance for their potential applications. Herein, we propose supramolecular strategy achieving dual thermal photoswitchable PCD. When guanosine (G), deoxyguanosine (dG), boric acid modified achiral gold nanorods (GNRs) were coassembled into hydrogel, hybrid nanofibers produced. the hydrogel was heated, nanofiber disassembled disappeared. As thermally reversible,...

Circular dichroism (CD) spectroscopy is widely used to study the chiroptical properties of chiral materials, including films, solutions, and isotropic materials. However, measuring CD signal single anisotropic chiral...

A general phenomenon about upconverted circularly polarized luminescence (UC-CPL) based on triplet–triplet annihilation (TTA) was realized in an ambient environment by coupling three kinds of chiral acceptors with corresponding achiral sensitizers. All the dissymmetry factors UC-CPL exhibited significant amplification compared prompt CPL used acceptors. Chirality-induced spin polarization during TTA-UC process charge amplified factor UC-CPL. spin-polarized triplet excitons will suppress TTA...

Due to the interest in origin of life and need synthesize new functional materials, study chirality has been given significant attention. The mechanism transfer at molecular supramolecular levels remains underexplored. Herein, we N, N'-bis (octadecyl)-L-/D-(anthracene-9-carboxamide)-glutamic diamide (L-/D-GAn) chiral self-assembled air/water interface by sum-frequency generation vibrational spectroscopy (chiral SFG) dynamics (MD) simulations. We observe long-range systems. Cα-H is...

Abstract While the past decade has witnessed great successes in silver/silver halide‐based (Ag/AgX, X = Cl,Br) plasmonic photocatalysts, a facile fabrication of ultrafine Ag/AgX nanoparticles (NPs), which is recognized to be an efficient avenue for boosted catalytic performances, still remains formidable challenge. Ultrasmall sub‐10‐nm Ag/AgX, are discretely distributed on graphene oxide (GO, sub10‐Ag/AgX/GO), can easily fabricated by oxidation–halogenation treatment Ag/GO precursors AgNPs...

We conduct a molecular study on the structural chirality in Langmuir monolayers composed of dipalmitoylphosphatidylcholine (DPPC) using situ nonlinear optical spectroscopies, including second harmonic generation (SHG) and sum frequency (SFG). Chiral SHG response is observed from L-DPPC at moderate surface pressures almost vanishes high pressure. SFG spectra show chiral features that can be assigned to terminal CH3 groups CH2 attached center atom. This means these achiral moieties form...

The utilization of ionic liquids as versatile reaction media and catalysts has garnered significant attention in the field green sustainable chemistry. In this study, sum frequency generation vibrational spectroscopy (SFG-VS) is employed to investigate interactions between l-butyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate ([Bmim][BF4]) styrene oxide (SO) at air/liquid interface. Spectral analysis range 1000 cm−1 3700 reveals that only modes C–H bonds are observed. Notably, orientation epoxy ring...
