Currently, the free fibular flap is well accepted as first choice for mandibular reconstruction. Achieving functional results in pediatric patients requires a different approach than that employed mature patients. Because craniofacial skeleton continues to grow, reconstruction more challenging, and long‐term can be from those of adult In this study, we sought measure growth objectively our series. Ten who underwent with flaps were retrospectively reviewed. Flap was evaluated by comparing...

Abstract Introduction: Currently, free‐tissue transfers are commonly used for various reconstructive purposes in adults. However, there is a lack of large series free flap reconstruction children, especially oromandibular defects. Our study aims to share our experience free‐flap some challenging pediatric cases. Materials and methods: Pediatric interventions (<18‐year‐old) that were performed between 2000 2006 clinic retrospectively evaluated. Eighteen 17 Epidemiologic data, etiology,...

Hereditary hemochromatosis leads to the accumulation of iron in many organs including liver, spleen and heart results injury dysfunction these organs. On other hand, functional impairment kidney is extremely rare. We report a 61-year-old male patient with hereditary hemochromatosis, whom renal function was deteriorated rapidly. Renal biopsy revealed crescentic glomeruli hemosiderin tubular epithelial cells.
