In this study, the influences of pressure, temperature and equivalence ratio on onset cellular instabilities in premixed hydrogen/air laminar flames were studied using a constant volume fan-stirred combustion vessel. The instability is marked by critical stretch rate, at which flame speed rapidly deviates from its prior response to stretch. It noted that Peclet number, Pecl, increases with increasing both temperature, indicating more stable flame. Whilst, Pecl decreases initial pressure due...

Laminar flame characteristics of ethane/hydrogen/air (with XH2 = 25 %, 50 75 % and 100 by volume) within an equivalence ratio from 0.7 to 1.3 were determined in a spherical constant volume combustion vessel at elevated pressure up 0.5 MPa, temperature 360 K. Key such laminar burning velocity, Markstein length/number, thickness, effective Lewis number, thermal expansion coefficient critical conditions the onset cellular instability including radius Peclet either measured or calculated. These...

Coal-based naphtha features a low Octane number and is promising fuel as potential energy supplements for advanced compression ignition engines where the auto-ignition dominates combustion process. However, its characteristics including delay times (IDTs), knocking propensity have not been well studied yet. In present work, Leeds optical Rapid Compression Machine (RCM) equipped with simultaneous pressure acquisition high-speed photography was implemented to study IDTs knock properties of...

Coal-based naphtha is a promising alternative fuel as it fits the standards of energy replacement and technologically mature, safe, dependable. However, its laminar combustion characteristics have not been well studied. The burning velocities Markstein lengths kind coal-based (C6.97142H15.88244) over range initial conditions were measured by Particle Imaging Velocimetry (PIV) in spherical explosions. In addition, 3-component surrogate model (62.4 mol% n-C6H14, 32.5 i-C8H18 5.1 i-C7H16) based...

In this work, an electrochemical sensor HPMαFP / Ppy /GCE (HPMaFP: 1-phenyl-3-methyl-4-(2-furoyl)-5-pyrazolone, Ppy: polypyrrole, GCE: glassy carbon electrode) was prepared for the determination of ofloxacin (OFL: (+-)-9-Fluoro-2,3-dihydro-3-methyl-10-(4-methyl-1-piperazinyl)-7-oxo-7H-pyrido(1,2,3-de)-1,4-benzoxazine-6-carboxylic acid). The parameters were investigatigated by cyclic voltammetry and differential pulse voltammetry. pH=7.0 phosphate buffer solution, one sensitive oxidation peak...

One of the most essential inherent characteristics a combustible mixture is laminar burning velocity. Because its relevance, many methods for measuring flame velocity have been devised. advanced procedure was used to derive in constant volume vessel blends iso-octane and n-heptane/air mixtures this study: particle imaging velocimetry. Based on precise flow field with vectors, velocimetry (PIV) provides highly accurate velocities. The results PIV method were compared Schlieren data...

The deflagration-to-detonation transition (DDT) poses significant risks in the oil, gas, and nuclear industries, capable of causing catastrophic explosions extensive damage. This study addresses a critical knowledge gap understanding DDT ethane–air mixtures on large scale, amid increasing industrial utilization production ethane. A novel computational framework is introduced, utilizing finite-volume code named Morris Garages, which incorporates reactive compressible Navier–Stokes equations,...
