Electrospun superhydrophobic organic/inorganic composite nanofibrous membranes exhibiting excellent direct contact membrane distillation (DCMD) performance were fabricated by a facile route combining the hydrophobization of silica nanoparticles (SiO2 NPs) and colloid electrospinning hydrophobic silica/poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) matrix. Benefiting from utilization SiO2 NPs with three different particle sizes, electrospun (ENMs) endowed delicate nanofiber morphologies fiber diameter...
A novel profiled PAN-PS core–shell electrospun nanofibrous membrane with peculiar groove structures for wastewater treatment by direct contact distillation.
<title>Abstract</title> Heavy metal pollution in the Nansihu area was evaluated using geo-accumulation index, load and potential ecological risk assessment, with source analysis performed through absolute principal component-multiple linear regression (APCS-MLR) model positive definite matrix factorization (PMF) model. The average concentrations of As, Cd, Cr, Cu, Hg, Ni, Pb, Zn were below standardized background values; however, Hg exhibited significant enrichment, an concentration 1.37...

ABSTRACT The corrosion behavior of 316 L stainless steel (316 L) and 347 (347) at 500°C in a novel molten salt (KNO 3 –NaNO 2 –KNO , KNK) is investigated. determined by recording the weight changes steels different time intervals analyzing KNK compositional before after corrosion, combined with morphology intrinsic characteristics steels. X‐ray diffraction (XRD) inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry are employed to characterize phase component KNK; XRD, scanning electron...
Solar salt has great advantages in solar thermal power generation compared to other molten salts, but its conductivity needs be further improved. Multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) have excellent properties that can improve the of materials as additives. In this study, five kinds salt/MWCNTs composites with different doping amounts were prepared by a high-temperature melting method. The results showed MWCNTs indeed salt. We studied their quantitative structure-activity relationship...
Separation and concentration are two indispensable technical components of the gradient-coupling membrane technique for extraction valuable resources from salt lake brine. Herein, we systematically studied forward osmosis (FO) process its effects on First, chemical composition, structure, surface properties both sides FO were characterized analyzed. We then deeply probed effect operating conditions draw solution water flux ion transport, according to experimental results mathematical models....
Groundwater resources are an essential component of global water resources. Long-term consumption groundwater exceeding the standard levels for iron and manganese can lead to chronic diseases, posing a threat human health. The Sanjiang Plain is largest swamp wetland area in China has high groundwater, but cause still needs be clarified. Based on results quality tests 41 samples Eastern Plain, this paper analyzes distribution characteristics causes from perspectives original strata...
Nylon 6 electrospun nanofibers mat was prepared via electrospinning for the removal of three estrogens, namely, diethylstilbestrol (DES), dienestrol (DS), and hexestrol (HEX) from aqueous solution. Static adsorption as well dynamic evaluated by means batch disk flow mode, respectively. The kinetic study indicated that target compounds could be fitted pseudo-second-order equation, suggesting intra-particle/membrane diffusion process rate-limiting step process. equilibrium data were all to...
A low-cost alginate-melamine hybrid sorbent (named as Alg-Mel) was designed and synthesized for the removal of Pb2+ from water. The as-prepared Alg-Mel exhibited high affinity selectivity to Pb2+. coefficients Pb2+/Cd2+, Pb2+/Cu2+, Pb2+/Cr3+ Pb2+/Co2+ were all over 7. It is found that could uptake 95.4% Pb2+-containing solutions (0.48 mM), maximum adsorption capacity reaches 1.39 mmol/g (287.7 mg/g), which much higher than most reported lead ion-sorbents. Furthermore, can be regenerated by a...
