In the present paper, we demonstrate how modifications of microstructure and chemical composition can influence electrochemical behavior cathodes for molten carbonate fuel cells (MCFCs). Based on our experience, designed new MCFC cathode microstructures combining layers made porous silver, nickel oxide or foam to overcome common issues with internal resistance cell.
