To investigate the influence of soft contact lenses on regional variations in corneal thickness and shape while taking account natural diurnal these parameters.Twelve young, healthy subjects wore four different types days. The were two materials (silicone hydrogel or hydrogel), designs (spherical toric), powers (3.00 -7.00 diopter). Corneal topography measurements taken before after 8 h lens wear 2 days without wear, using Pentacam HR system. RESULTS.: toric caused greatest level thickening...

The aim of this study was to measure tear film surface quality (TFSQ) using dynamic high-speed videokeratoscopy during short-term (8 hrs) use rigid and soft contact lenses.A group 14 subjects wore 3 different types lenses on nonconsecutive days (order randomized) in 1 eye only. were screened exclude those with dry eye. included a polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) hard, gas permeable (RGP; Boston XO), silicone hydrogel lens. Three 30-second long recordings taken situ, the morning again after 8...

Abstract This paper presents a study of hybrid effect on mechanical properties tencel blended ring-, rotor- and Murata jet spinning yarns. The tensile strength, breaking elongation, flexural rigidity abrasion resistance tencel-polyester tencel-cotton yarns are examined compared with the value predicted using linear quadratic rule mixture (ROM). It is observed that there no significant mix tenacity extension yarns; hence, ROM found better in predicting yarn properties. Further, for all types,...

Rapid straining of ring yam is known to result in a higher breaking load. This may or not hold good for rotor yams, owing their different structure. In this work, we have studied the influence extension rate and test length on tenacity acrylic viscose spun yams blends. We report some interesting results that are contrary what one generally expects.
