In this paper, the dynamic deposition behavior of Na-enriching Zhundong coal ash on tube bundles with varying longitudinal and transverse pitches was numerically studied. Abstract This study verified the effect of steel slag as alternative bed material on ash deposition in circulating fluidised (CFB) burning high‐sodium Zhundong lignite (ZD). Sample ZD was burned a lab‐scale CFB at 950°C, and obtained fly deposits were characterised. Results showed that presence leads to abundance Na (2.39 wt%) ash.
